This is another one-star review from someone who wishes they had checked the reviews beforehand. I've rarely seen such a high percentage of one-star ratings. Our less than three-year-old worktop cracked after just 40 minutes on a plate warmer set at medium heat (80 degrees C). The surface never felt too hot to touch. The company dismissed our claim, ignoring my comments about the temperature, claiming thermal shock was the cause (in a centrally heated home!). They clearly do not value their customers and disregard their feedback. To clarify, our worktop cracked after being warmed to a maximum of 80 degrees C over a 40-minute period using the plate warmer as directed. Make your own judgments.
This is yet another one-star review from someone who wishes they had seen the negative reviews before making a purchase. I've never encountered a 61% one-star review rate before. Our less than three-year-old worktop cracked after just 40 minutes on a silicone rubber electric plate warmer set to medium heat (80 degrees C). At no point did the surface feel too hot to touch. The company rejected our claim outright, disregarding my comments about the temperature, stating that thermal shock from excessive heat on cold stone caused the issue (in a centrally heated house!). They clearly do not care about their customers and seem to ignore their feedback. To clarify, our worktop cracked after being gently warmed to no more than 80 degrees C over a 40-minute period using the plate warmer as instructed. Draw your own conclusions.
AVOID this place for purchases. I had a similar experience. Bought this for my kitchen, installed in February. We started noticing scratches and reached out in June. They blamed us and our contractor. Finally, a technician came four months later in October and confirmed the product was defective. Now it's December, and we still have no resolution. We will also file a claim with the better business bureau. The customer service team was rude and unhelpful. Even when they visited my home before the technician arrived, they were rude and continued to place blame on me.
Avoid this company - terrible experience that could leave you out of pocket if your worktop cracks. This is my personal experience and opinion. After buying a kitchen that included a worktop, it cracked in the middle of a join after just 10 months. The company claimed I had placed something hot on it, which I did not. When I contacted the seller, they said they didn't hold the warranty and could do nothing. They sold me the product without informing me of the warranty limitations. If you set a cup of tea on the worktop and it cracks, tough luck. Now, I have a crack and can't afford to replace it. It looks terrible and reflects poorly on both companies. The product can crack easily, even with proper care. They will leave you stranded. Be cautious with this company.
We bought an expensive worktop with our kitchen from a retailer, costing thousands. It looks nice, but after just 2 months, we've noticed a ring and a smaller mark that only shows under certain light. We haven't placed anything hot on it and have been very careful. The original installer has been communicating with the company on our behalf. We explained we haven't intentionally placed anything hot on it since our kitchen is brand new! The company responded saying they won't inspect it because it’s 'from heat or chemical.' We are really disappointed, as the product was sold as high quality and comes with a 25-year warranty promise! Stay away!
Do not buy this product. Their response to warranty issues has been insulting. We installed quartz in our new home, and while the area around the stove and sink remains beautiful, the kitchen island countertop is a disaster. Every spill leaves a permanent stain, and there are multiple marks on the finish. We’ve never left a caustic material on the surface. The company's response has been upsetting and accusatory. We will be pursuing legal action for breach of contract. I suspect this company may be facing bankruptcy soon.
Countertops purchased through a retailer showed small imperfections after just a couple of years, allowing water and food matter to seep under the finish. A few years later, many areas have liquids that penetrated under the original finish. Very disappointed with this product.
I am shocked by the quality of this product. It is NOT scratch-resistant, chip-resistant, crack-resistant, or heat-resistant. After choosing a countertop, we thought it would be durable, but we were wrong. We picked a shiny finish, which looks stunning but is more delicate than any surface I've had. The first use caused the backsplash to crack. The company blamed the situation, citing fine print. After a month, the countertop is full of scratches and chips easily. Their marketing is misleading, and they do not support their product. I would have preferred granite, which would have been less troublesome. The only positive is that it cleans easily and looks good when new. I do not recommend this product and regret my choice.
Absolutely terrible! If I could give negative stars, I would. The office is a complete joke. They don't support their product at all! My countertop never even made it into my home; it chipped badly, and it wasn't the installer's fault. They only refunded part of the cost but admitted it was 'faulty.' Terrible on every level!
