Failed deadlines & no communication

EDIT: I’ve upgraded my star rating after a conversation with the the owner & a prompt refund. Failed deadlines, lack of communication, overall I’d say go somewhere else. It seems like they’re trying to grow too quickly & can not meet the expectations of the clients they have. I made a purchase in the start of November for Xmas, at the time their website said it would be ready by 25th November. I never heard anything from them until I started contacting them. Excuse after excuse was given. At no time did they give me a completion date. At no time did they communicate with the exception of answering my emails with vague meaningless answers. So here I am a week before Xmas & I’m trying to chase them for a refund.. pathetic

Infeasible production

Company obviously needs to look at expanding rather than taking on new orders, adding to what seems to be an impractical backlog. Seeing their social media in full swing while all this is happening - advertising new pieces, sales - is insulting to those of us stuck waiting months without updates or ETA, and missing out on potential birthday/Christmas presents. If production has been such an issue (and for quite a while, it seems), then at least have the guts to put it on your website and socials as a warning. 2 stars because the refund was quick.

High quality products, just expect a bit of a wait

Howlet make high quality and unique jewellery, their designs are not like any other jewelers I have seen and alongside this they charge what I would consider to be fairly reasonable prices.As other reviews point out, their lead times are quite long which can be frustrating, I have had an email discussion with the owner of Howlet who acknowledged this and from the outside, seems committed to trying to improve processing and delivery times.I've bought products that are in stock which arrived in the UK from Australia within a week which is super quick and so far I have not been charged any customs fees, so again no complaints there.Howlet might be one to keep an eye on, their products are great and if they can improve their processing times then I think they'll keep going from strength to strength.

Received my Howlet .925 silver ring (The Messenger) this week, and it meets all expectations - size, finish, detail all as advertised. I'll definitely be purchasing more jewelry from them.That said, as other reviewers stated, their production time is slower than advertised. I think they're going through some growing pains as their business is scaling. Just keep this in mind, and possibly reach out in advance to get an estimate. I'll say, given the quality of the product, it's well worth the wait and worth supporting a growing small business.

WARNING: 2 month wait minimum

Was overall a negative experience with this manufacturer and seller. Ordered. Everything appeared normal. Received an automated welcome email stating a 25 day turnaround as the rings are custom made. 2 months passed and I reached out to receive the “we are taking longer than expected” automated response. I waited another month before I cancelled my order and received a refund. They may be a great company with a great product who knows. When you can’t complete orders I feel like it’s only a matter of time until this business goes under and anyone who hasn’t already gotten a refund, won’t be getting one.

Superior Jewelry and accessories. Amazing quality for the price too. I have occasionally bought multiple pieces over the years and they always last long and don’t deteriorate compared to other brands in the same price range. I had a slight delay with my order recently. Their customer service and response was supportive. The emails from Jane was informative and prompt. The only reason for the delay was that they wanted to make sure my order was perfect. It made me love the brand even more. 10/10 customer service

Not Happy Customer

This is company is a mess, do not order from them at all.Company has not shipped products in the quoted lead time and customer service is unable or unwilling to provide a new ship date. I have requested refund and waiting for their response before escalating this to Facebook, PayPal, and Visa.I recommend that people avoid any purchase from this company.

Worst customer service I have ever received

I ordered an item from this company over 90 days ago and I’m still yet to receive it. Every single time I enquired about it, I received the exact same response saying “I will look into it immediately” Never Hearing anything back from them until I had to send another email asking about it and receiving the exact same response this has been going on for more than 10 weeks now. I would recommend staying far away from this company

Wait a while, wait indefinitely...

Almost 5 months since ordering a ring.. 31st of August 2024 up until the 24th of January 2025 to be delivered. Ring is definitely great/fantastic. However, beware the timeframe and lack of updates during this period were beyond anything I've experienced before, and definitely needs work.

Massive lead time

Ordered their Yellow gold signature half dome band in 4.5mm on the 3rd of June with a website claimed delivery date of 9th of July. Waited till a week after the claimed delivery date and asked for an updated ETA, generic reply of still in production. Waited another week and asked again, this time got an excuse of they were moving and this had had an impact on lead times. Waited another week and asked again as still no ETA. This time saying I was not happy and the website should be updated to reflect realistic lead times, was told the issue was being dealt with (still no ETA ) A few days later got an update that package was shipped this was now the 9th of August! Kept an eye on the tracking but seemed to be stuck at customs in the UK. Got a letter from Parcel force informing me that there out standing duty, tax and a handling fee to pay of £127 due to the ring coming from Australia and the cost of ring being over £130 odd pounds. Messaged Howlet to inform them as I had paid shipping but was told that on the website it does say that additional charges will apply for international shipping but not on the order screen you need to look hard on the website to find this. They said they look into it and get back to me, still waiting. Only reason I paid the charges was the Wife got me the band for my 40th Birthday to replace my now tired looking original wedding ring otherwise I would have got a refund. Can’t fault the ring but they really need to work on customer service.
