Review Time
I’ve given Dace German Car Centre more than enough time to respond properly, but they clearly have no interest in addressing customer concerns. This was my second visit, and both times were a complete disappointment. At the Eccles branch I viewed two cars that were nowhere near a saleable condition. I raised the issues with staff, but nothing came of it. Hoping it was a one-off, I tried again at the Manchester branch. Shockingly, the car I went to see was in even worse condition. It really makes me question whether this company ever puts quality before profit. Every car I looked at was priced over £10,000, yet they were in a state I wouldn’t expect from a bargain basement lot. They clearly don’t care about customer feedback, and I would strongly advise people not to waste their time here.
First time buying a car from a garage and I will say that although there were a few hiccups initially, the staff did everything they could to resolve them and made us feel at ease. Was overall a good experience but I will say, make sure you check your service history properly before purchase- they handed me a paper print out of the service record and verbally told me the car had a full service history. This was technically true as I purchased the car in June 25’ and the car was last serviced July 24’ so under a year. I didn’t realise this until the oil light came on a few days ago, and found the car had no oil in it at all. I know this is my fault for not checking and someone more experienced with buying cars probably would have known better, but if I had checked this I would have asked for a full service before buying.
I would strongly advise caution when buying from Dace Car Supermarket due to their extremely poor after-sales service. When I purchased my vehicle, I was told I would receive 6 months’ warranty. However, when the paperwork came through, the warranty company only had 3 months logged. The salesman at Dace had simply handwritten “extra 3 months” on my warranty document, but this was never properly issued.Since discovering this, I’ve tried calling Dace on multiple occasions and even sent two emails. To date, I’ve had no response, no acknowledgement, and no resolution. Their lack of communication is deeply unprofessional and shows a complete disregard for customer care once they’ve made the sale. It’s very disappointing to have been misled about the warranty and then ignored when trying to get the matter sorted. Based on my experience, Dace Car Supermarket do not stand by their promises, and I would not recommend buying from them.
Avoid Dace Motor Group at all costs.I bought a BMW X6 from them in December 2024, and within hours I flagged a fault. BMW later confirmed the vehicle had an undisclosed aftermarket ECU map which caused major injector damage. The repair bill? £4,781.32, left entirely to me to deal with.To make matters worse, the warranty expired three weeks early, blocking me from claiming for a steering fault. I wrote repeatedly, sent a formal complaint, and gave deadlines. They ignored every single message. In my experience, Dace Motor Group sell cars with hidden modifications, leave customers to face thousands in repair costs, and then bury their heads in the sand when challenged. Their behaviour is dishonest, unprofessional, and utterly disgraceful.I am now escalating to the Motor Ombudsman. If you value your money and your peace of mind, do not buy from this company.
