Update Feb 2026

Amazing club, all staff go out of their way to make our experience the best. Always friendly and make things happen. Very clean, great ambience and highly recommended.

Very safe environment - you can leave your laptop and personal belongings lying around in the club house which is very secure and CCTV.

I recently got back from the US and my teen boys were looked after by the staff to make sure they were all ok whilst I was away for a week.

Special thanks to Nita, Adam and Mel. They were all caring and kind and great customer service. All this is possible thanks to great leadership in Holly and Andy. Gary Mander and family

From entering reception to going through for my appointment with Emma PT, all of the staff are SO friendly & yet maintaining that degree of professionalism.
After the 1:1 I had a lovely swim in the amazing pool.
Being a solo member I thought I might be lonely, but that wasn’t the case.

I needed to suspend my membership because of recent surgery that prevents me from using the facilities of my local club at Raynes Park. I made telephone contact with
James Imray, a member of the members’ support team to explain the situation. He advised me what I needed to do and throughout was empathetic and understanding of my situation. Having told me what information I needed to supply to support my application for temporary suspension I was able to email this and the whole matter was dealt with within a day. The solution I was offered was flexible enough for me to resume membership as soon as I am well enough to use the facilities safely. This was a highly satisfactory outcome, delivered with care and I could not be more pleased.eell done James and all credit for the excellent training that you must have been given.

@DavidLloydKIDBROOKE
Today, I attended the Women’s Health Series: Building a resilient body with Claire Riddell facilitating the session. Claire was really informative - sharing her knowledge and encouraging us to consider our own experiences and how we can adapt our training to build a stronger, more resilient body. These sessions have been an excellent way to support women with their training and understanding of their changing bodies. All Women’s Health Series put on at Kidbrooke DL have been well worth going to. Thank you Claire and DL Kidbrooke

David Lloyd for me is not just a gym it’s the smile in my day it’s my me time it’s a place I can focus on my goals Improve my fitness levels So far I’ve enjoyed a personal training session two Pilates classes and been swimming several times. Using the sauna and steam room its also got your nutrition needs catered for in the cafe / restaurant club room. there is so much more to David Lloyd’s than being a gym I love the outside pool it’s like a little Holiday each time you’re there and it’s really very good value for money 😁

Had an issue with deferral of membership that I couldn’t resolve on the app. When Ellen Montgomery of the membership team got in involved my issue was dealt with promptly, flexibly and to my satisfaction. The only reason I have deducted a star is due to the length of time from my initial query to getting to speak to someone.

Cost of living:
Well, sadly I'm still keeping it 1 stars, because is it really worth it? A cost of living crisis hits us all in 2020-2023, and what does the rich do? Decide to refurbish a large portion of the gym, so they spend a few million quid while people go poor and hungry, then decide to up the monthly bill of the gym from £130 quid half price to £260 and that is £130 for one person by the way.

What a joke, people need to exercise to keep the virus at bay as it makes us stronger, and these rich guys decide to splurge out a monthly fee of 130-260 per month and think that was a good move?

There was a price hike so they can repay the money they spent, a gym that was never broken needed a refurbishment? Back in 2015-2017 The gym was perfect it didn't need a refurbishment, it needed better staff, better GM's, better receptionists, a few of them were good, but many were bad. I bite the bullet, thought I would give it another chance in 23, and tried a guest pass, some staff was nice, and was mostly clean, I'd give 5 stars for that, but I took 4 stars off because that price vs humanity seriously dude, sort your priorities out.

Shouldn't exceed £50 per month for 1 person. Price shouldn't rise per year, people want to live a happy healthy lifestyle, and what makes a good community is being nice to people, not charging them an arm and a leg during tough times. People can't eat how do the owners sleep at night???

Ironically putting the price down means more people pay £50 so more 50 quids = more money than fewer £130-260 per person/family set.

Who am I? I am a no nonsense reviewer, now verified. I see things for what they are, I am 100% honest and truthful to the best of my ability. I will always fight for the poor, the weak, and what is right.

In reply to David Lloyd-
My problem is the same thing hundreds of thousands have with your company, I'm sure addicted athletes are hating themselves for paying 130 quid a month or £260 now for 2 adults.

As a reception lady quoted me £130 that day and I was alone, considering I used to pay 88 before the pandemic and even that was high, originally I started with £65 a month in 2015 working it's way up to 88 in 2019 pandemic hit, everything shuts down, of course I'm not going to pay the gym for not using it.

I saw the virus coming a mile away. What does it feel like to be super rich? In a bad economy, then build a refurbishment up at the gym with a new spa, and replace the machines that cost multimillions, then also charge people 130+ per month for ONE person, then £260 full price for 2? While the cost of buying food, and paying house bills are so high, and is going around for everyone who's poor but needs to be healthy at a clean gym to exercise in?

Tell me, how do you sleep at night knowing this? The email I spoke to someone was about no locks in the showers, and I hit my knee whilst I was on a guest pass. Your gym shouldn't cost more than £60 per month and that is me being generous.

In Reply: More lies? The team has not contacted me after you said "We have contacted the Club Management Team to contact you further to discuss your experience and offer support, thank you."

That depends can you give us all a membership at the gym for £50 or less single adult person without the prices rising every year!!!!???

If not nobody should join! As I'd rather buy my own machines for the price you're asking £130-260 per month The club charged a friend of mine £130 for 2 people, and he even got the Racket/Tennis or badminton in the membership, one of them, when it was half price, that's 65 quid each, was thinking that should have been 65 for single then? If so, why was I quoted half price £130 for single?

You see everyone, I told you they didn't get back to me on this, because they want to charge us 130-260 quid single pass- to 2 adults.

David Lloyd Gym, only care about money even while others suffer they just want to make money, and build, rinse and repeat. Inflation doesn't affect the rich, starving people doesn't affect the rich. Inflation benefits the rich.

8/04/2023 DL Enfield said this to me. Their membership is £179 per month on platinum individual 1 person 179 quid, and gives you access to everything but man 179 quid that is a joke, the owner should be ashamed in this economy.

The next quote for severely reduced gym use and limited to one area is £129 per adult & £120 Joining Fee per adult, this is ridiculous 129 should be for 2 adults. I will never pay more than £65 for 1.

11/08/23 If you look closely, can see all the high star reviewers are fake. The only real ones if you have money and don't care about losing so much per month, of course you're going to review 5.

I could sue you because some managers harassed me in past, I have proof & I reached out and you did nothing. This company banned me now and won't say why (To the owners) Shame on you, This is very telling about you. All your 5-star reviews are FAKE-updated 2026+
