*AVOID* We recently moved into a new…

*AVOID* We recently moved into a new build and requested venetian blinds throughout the house. Against my better judgement we paid up front. We picked Deva blinds because they advertise home made blinds of high quality. In fact the owner Paul Pollard-Fraser said his wife makes them. The blinds we ordered certainly were not made by his wife. They were ordered off the internet, judging by the packaging that the fitter brought.Anyway the blinds were fitted a week later by an intimidating man called Alan. The quality of the job was of an extremely poor standard. I watched him on a couple of them and couldn't see anything wrong so I left him to it. However I have noticed that the decorative fascia that fit on the front of the blinds didn't quite fit, So what did Alan do? He made them fit without cutting them down by ramming them into the smaller space and has subsequently cracked all the plaster work on 3 of the windows. If he had just taken two minutes to file them down there wouldn't have been a problem. In addition on the wider windows he didn't put a centre support so the blinds are bowing in the middle. I am in the process of fixing the issue myself because I don't want that guy anywhere near them. Clearly doesn't know what he is doing. We also asked for some vertical blinds on some bi-fold doors thankfully they were out of stock so we asked for a refund. We did get the refund after a few calls but were short changed by 40p. Make of this what you will but I would avoid these guys at all costs. I'm just sorry we didn't read the reviews before arranging for this service.

APPALLING

APPALLING - UNPROFESSIONAL - DISGRACEFUL unfortunately we did not check Trustpilot and see ALL the very poor reports before we went with this firm & have suffered the consequences of a harrowing experience.

Judging by the reviews

Judging by the reviews, it seems everyone has had a similar experience but what a rude person Paul is to deal with. My availability slot was between 10am - 12pm (this doesn’t meam arriving after 12pm). He still wasn’t here at 12pm so I politely messaged to ask how long he would, to which he replied ‘the availability is 10-12’. Our house is also quite hard to find so I asked him to ring me when he was near, to which he was so rude on the phone as he clearly was lost and then put the phone down to never ring me back. I thought I’d use a smaller company to support local businesses but avoid at all costs!

*AVOID*AVOID*AVOID*

Recently placed an order with Paul and the team for some blinds for a new bay window. Fitter came out and installed them and they were not fitted correctly and uneven gaps in between the blinds. Emailed Deva sales and had the response that they were closed for Christmas and would be in touch 6th Jan to repair. Perfect I thought. The fitter came out and attempted to repair the work which only made it 10 times worse. I told him I wanted Paul to come and and explain the poor quality. Next day Paul turns up ( most arrogant man I have ever met ) tells me his digital measure was playing up and the blinds were the wrong size and would be re made. I asked him to confirm this in writing detailing the timescale, to which I got a torrent of abuse and swore at in my own home, He stormed out got in his van, I was stood on the end of the drive trying to get an answer off him when he attempted to run me over. I have been lucky and received a full refund. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

WHOLE EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN A SHAMBLES!!!

Everything has been a bit of a joke from the get go. Dealing with Paul has proven to be very difficult from the start of purchasing the blinds and the aftercare. He advised that the blinds would be a certain style and would block out sunlight etc but did not do the job they were intended for...A while after having the blinds, they are not proving to be as well as they were described and the quality seems awful. I tried to contact Deva Blinds & Paul after numerous occasions and after there certainty that the blinds are 'amazing quality' they would even provide a lifetime warranty...there's the joke. I've been told that the blinds can be effected by the sun and the reason they have 'cupped' is due to the sun. THE SUN?!Have been advised that the only way to fix the issue is by getting new slats which surprise surprise, I have to pay for and he was very prompt to try and get me to book an appointment and take my £££.Just steer clear and find somewhere different.

I ordered blinds from Deva blinds from Paul

I ordered blinds from Deva blinds from Paul who I have to say was not the most personable of people. I was tempted to ask for a quote off a local company as I initially thought I was contacting Wirral blinds and there was some confusion over this when I called what I was led to believe was then and it seem to redirect to deva blinds. I live in Wallasey. I was told by Paul they did not offer any discounts because the products they supplied where of superior quality as was their after sales service they offered. Interestingly my partner paid for blinds to fitted after me which were no different and half the cost. The blinds were ill fitted - the larger of the 3 was unsafe and too heavy for the fittings. The chord snapped within 48 hours of being fitted and I was given instructions to sort it out myself as it was too small a job to call out. Six months later I raised the blind up thinking I heard something hit my window . I struggled anyhow to lift the blind because of the weight . The blind collapsed onto my work surfaces shattering ornaments on the ledge below and had it been on another window I dread to think what could have happened if one of my grandchildren had been standing there when it happened. It actually caught my arm and bruised it because it was so heavy. The after sales service was appalling I felt like I had caused an inconvenience having to call someone out. The girl who took my call was very understanding of my dilemma and at the time however naively said it would not be a problem and it would be sorted out straight away. As soon as Paul became involved his attitude was as if he was doing me a favour. He arrived nearly an hour after the appointment having told me off for saying I had been offfered a specified time. When I showed him my email confirming this he phoned the operator ( the naive girl ) and immediately told her in no certain terms was she to do that again. Paul arrived with no tools despite saying it was a small job. He was too busy with other fittings. He was patronising and I told him that to his face simply because I have never felt so upset by someone supposedly offering a service. Paul told me the man who fitted was inexperienced and hadn’t fitted it correctly. That certainly wasn’t reflected in what he had initially said about the service he was offering and I was paying twice as much for. The blind was unsafe it fitted and the screws had been filed down and I had taken photos to send him this via email. My partner subsequently fitted the blind correctly and safely. I heard nothing back from Paul not even an apology. I would not recommend the products and I certainly would not ever want anything to do with Paul if that is how he chooses to run a business. Horrible experience and one I won’t forget for some time.

Very poor service, unable to install correctly, shutters have inherent design fault.

Badly fitting doors on shutters, adjustment required but Deva Blinds don't know how to fix. I had to fix 3 doors myself. Deva Blinds wanted to order new shutters, with another 3 month wait. It's obvious that shutters have an inherent fault. 3 replacement slats should have been available in 2 weeks, arrived after over 4 weeks (I had to chase). Blinds fitted to front room windows, these were installed from one side, not spaced evenly. Took 2 more visits to have fixed.Customer service abysmal. Told that badly fitting shutter doors would settle - utter rubbish, they needed adjusting, something Deva Blinds could not do.They take your money and make you wait. Very poor consideration for customers, can't install what they sell. Asked for a small refund to compensate me for doing THEIR job but no response, of course.YOU WILL BE TREATED VERY BADLY. DEVA BLINDS ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. GO ELSEWHERE.
