Hi, On the 26th of November I tried to board the Majestic from Palermo to Tunis. However, when I tried to board I was told I need a return ticket from Tunis as their authorities would not allow me in? Therefore, I don't understand why direct ferries did not tell me this beforehand? I did inquire a day before hand if everything was okay and they were quite relaxed! Moreover, I wanted a refund which would only be reasonable but was told I could only get 50% back via cancellation fee?!? Furthermore, why can't I get a full refund it's the only decent thing that they could do if I can't embark onto the Majestic? Sincerely, Max
AVOID this company at all costs! Do yourself a favor and book directly through the ferry company website, that way you will save money in fees, have better options (like booking a seat), and have more control if you need to make a cancellation or change.
Never book your ticket to or from Isola d’ Elba via directferries!!! We didn’t recieve the tickets with the QR codes to the e-mail. They didn’t want to let us on the ferry (that also was over 1 hour late!!!), EVEN though we had an email with the confirmations of the tickets. They also get angry if you don’t speak Italian😡Also, missed our connecting train because of directferries. Grazie!
Never book your ticket to Elba via directferries. It is a nightmare to change your Reservation. I didn’t recieve the Pdf with QR code and when I changed the order in the account they didn’t respond. After chat sessions they were not able to execute the amendments. Book direct by operating ships like Blue Navey it saves trouble & money ~20%
