AVOID AUTO TO AUTOPŮJČOVNA MALAGA BRANCH AT ALL COSTS!!!Do yourself a HUGE favor and STEER CLEAR of this predatory car rental outfit in Malaga—seriously, go anywhere else! They scammed us into buying mandatory insurance for €300 for just one week—that's 3 TIMES the cost of the actual car rental! All because we didn't have a "real" credit card; we offered multiple debit cards and even cash, but they flat-out refused and hid behind their so-called "general terms and conditions."These guys are utterly shameless and inflexible. We tried everything to cancel it, but nope—they claimed it was already locked in, conveniently outside the 48-hour cancellation window. This NEVER happened to us anywhere else in Spain. Total rip-off artists who prey on tourists. DO NOT RENT HERE—save your money and your sanity!
I rented a car for 10 days through a service I had previously trusted without any issues. The pickup was straightforward, and I opted out of extra insurance, roadside assistance, and an automatic upgrade. Upon returning the car, everything was inspected and confirmed as damage-free. However, the next day, I noticed a 104 EUR charge from a different company. I reached out to the service for clarification but received a receipt for Premium Roadside Coverage for the entire rental period. I've now requested a copy of the signed agreement to verify if they added this charge after I declined. I reviewed the original agreement and found no extra fees, but I anticipate receiving a version that could be difficult to contest. This seems to be a common issue based on feedback from others. We frequently rent vehicles and usually expect some sales pressure, but this felt quite deceptive. I had a booking with the same company in the USA for two weeks in April, which I have since canceled, and I will not be using them again. They took two weeks to respond to my inquiry, prompting me to start a credit card dispute, though I suspect they managed to include the roadside coverage in the agreement somehow, even though the final balance I signed was 0.00 Euros (as I had prepaid). It will be interesting to see how they attempt to justify this charge.
I experienced delays at the airport picking up my vehicle. I paid for extra insurance to cover damage, yet they charged me an additional 100 EUR at drop-off for cleaning because the seat was slightly damp. This is the worst rental service I have encountered, and I expected better from a supposedly reputable company. I cannot recommend them.
This was a dreadful car rental experience. We felt cheated like many others have. If you want to avoid starting your vacation on a negative note, steer clear of this rental service! They also charged us for fuel service despite returning the vehicle with a full tank. What initially seemed like a good deal turned out to be a scam.
I received a faulty vehicle in Alicante (a model known for electronic issues), and it seems I’m not alone in this experience. Not only was I left in a difficult situation, but they also denied any responsibility and made me pay for roadside assistance, as well as for an upgraded car that was also defective. Instead of offering compensation, they were unhelpful. I strongly advise against using this service.
Despite being a regular customer, I was treated rudely and pressured to purchase their expensive insurance policy. I had already pre-purchased coverage through the booking company and stood firm, but I ended up with a significantly smaller vehicle than I paid for. I had reserved a larger model but received a dirty smaller car instead. Due to this poor treatment, I will not be using this service again.
I rented a car for 10 days through a platform. My previous experience with a different company was smooth, so I had no concerns. The pickup was easy, and I declined extra insurance and upgrades. Upon returning the car, it was confirmed damage-free. The next day, I noticed a 104 EUR charge from a different company. I reached out through the platform to inquire about it. A receipt for additional roadside coverage was sent, though I had declined it. I’ve requested the signed agreement to verify if they added this without my consent. I checked the original agreement and saw no additional charges, but I suspect they might send a version that I cannot dispute. Others have reported similar experiences, which makes me think this might be a common tactic. We rent frequently and expect some pressure for additional sales, but this feels deceptive. I had another booking with them that I’ve now canceled and will not use them again. They took two weeks to respond to my evidence request, so I’ve initiated a credit card dispute, but I’m concerned they might have somehow included the roadside coverage in the agreement, despite my final balance being zero euros.
I rented a car in Malaga through a booking platform and purchased full insurance. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was presented with an agreement that included an insurance policy I did not request. The staff did not mention this optional insurance and pressured me to sign. I regret not reading the document carefully and ended up paying the price for my oversight.
We booked a vehicle to be picked up at the airport, and the office was conveniently located in the car park. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was quick, efficient, and polite. The representative who assisted us was very helpful and understanding. There was no pressure regarding insurance or extras, just a friendly offer to help. The car was relatively new and clean, and we were pleased with our experience. Returning the vehicle was just as smooth; someone inspected it and was very friendly. This was the best rental experience we've had in years, and we will definitely book with them again.
