Review Time
I arrived at this liverpool depot to collect a car but was met with the most rude , unhelpful, obnoxious person behind the desk I've met in a long time . My car had been cancelled by broker by mistake and as far as the man in his late 60s behind the desk was concerned it wasn't his problem . I was left with no transport home until broker sorted out another car hire from someone 30 mins walk away. I was utterly disgusted with DRIVALIA and would never use them again.
Absolute scam artists who have the system down to a fine art in ripping you off. If they don’t get you to pay up for an upgrade because they don’t have the car you ordered then they’ll get you on having to take out extra insurance, otherwise you don’t get the car. Look out on having to pay £1500 authority on you credit card because, having returned the car without damage etc, the next thing you’ll find is you’re being charged £60 without ANY explanation despite trying to get an answer. As for this review, all negative responses are met with a stock standard apology, citing to get in touch to sort the issue out. . . .good luck, you end up back on the never ending circle of nowhere.
Took all my money for being 1 Hour late ,gave the car away to someone else.I informed them of the delay by email the did not respond. When I went to collect the car was informed it was not here anymore they have rented it out because I was late due to delayed flight which I no control over,There excuse was Terms and conditions.Be very careful of this company they scammed us out of our money (terms and conditions) would advise anyone using them not to the management Darren was horrific with customer service please check there terms and conditions if you turn up more than a hour after the arrangement collect they take your money but you will not get the car even if you have hired it for a month and they are not willing to do anything to get around it.There were people hanging around to collect there vehicles for 1/12 hours after the arranged collection time. Please take my experience seriously not a good feeling. They are cheap for a reason
Where to begin - nearly an hour in the waiting room to pick up a pre-booked car. The car itself was not as advertised, has issues with engine starting - wheel tracking is severely out, car play doesn’t work all the time. Rang up to request an upgrade (to the car I thought I would be receiving) and was met with a +£900 extra charge if I wanted to go ahead with it… my rental was £250 in total for the original period of hire. It took 4 hours to finally get someone willing to help us even find that option, with branch customer service reps being rude and promising to call back etc, saying they had cars coming in that they could sort out for us and all that nonsense. Basically, a huge time waste. We have 2 children, so 2 car seats, 2 prams, we had a 48 hour journey from Australia to the UK and just wanted to reach our final destination so crammed everything into the Peugeot 2008 they provided, it’s a Mini Cooper on stilts basically. We were meant to be booking a 5 seat SUV… we only have the front 2 seats after the car seats are in. Anyway, the whole experience has been shocking. The company is scummy and opportunistic. I’ve since found a standard SUV for £400 for the remainder of our time in the UK from another provider - how do drivalia treat their customers? Like rubbish. It’s worth noting that their response to this review is also telling… they want to save face but still waste more time. Submitting feedback that will then be actioned **14 DAYS** after submission, what good is that to anyone who has an active problem? By the end of the 14 days the car will be back with the rental company and I’ll be back in Australia. Massive joke.
Contacting Alex Paul Hughes,Paolo Manfreddi,Paolo Ronco, directors in Slough,. to get reimbursement after Darren Rimmer, their Liverpool airport manager, refused refund after cancelling my friends lease, because her flight was delayed by 1 hour. Keeping £290,even though she emailed the about the delay. Her father will notify his 30,000 followers and I will continue to complain via social media, Trip advisor, Reddit, etc. Until this matter is rectified.
All conditions were met, but the car was never provided. They said that I did not pass the credit check. But in the Experian report, no records about the credit check that day. My rating is 969/999 (Excellent)! Ref. GB206872330Both EasyCar and Drivalia flatly refused to refund the money, without providing any adequate arguments.Never use these services, all this is very similar to ordinary fraud.Where law enforcement agencies are looking is unknown.
