Great car, good service and helpful staff.We had an issue with our credit card but Rahat, (Manager)? got round the situation, being very helpful and kind, even giving us an upgrade on the car and 2nd driver. On return there was a slight issue, which Rahat instantly took care off. Great member of staff at the Manchester branch.
Booked through RyanAir total disaster... got stung for another 80 pound dreadful guy at reception named Adam. His people skills where non existent and very passive aggressive in nature...saving grace a driver named Billy who on his first day was so respectful and apologetic because it was his first day. We dropped the car back on the next day and thankfully Billy took control of the exchange. On the way back to the airport he sold himself as a fantastic ambassador for the company. I suggest you employ more emphatic and professional individuals as this gentleman turned out to be. Great job well done Billy ...Linda and dave
I arrived with my wife on Ryanair flight FR 2447 from Malaga which landed at 16.10. On collecting my luggage we made our way to the courtesy car meeting point as per your instructions which was Bus stop1 . There were no indications at that stop that it was your collection point so I called your office at 16.40 who explained where the correct collection point was. We made our way there and waited until 16.53 when I again called to ask when we could expect to be picked up, I was reminded that this was a courtesy pickup up and that the car was on its way. It arrived 5 minutes later The journey to the depot is only a matter of 3 minutes so we arrived at your office at 17.00The agent's name was Adam who at first denied we had a reservation but when I provided your booking confirmation which was made via Booking.com, he suddenly found it. He certainly wasn't impressed we booked via an agent and was very disparaging about the use of agents. He then advised us that our booked car was deallocated due to our late arrival. He then launched into a diatribe regarding insurance conditions which was totally irrelevant as he had just advised our booked car was not available . He then miraculously found a 4 wheel drive SUV. I didn't even ask him about the costs as this was obviously a ploy to charge more. His attitude was arrogant and supercilious. As my booking had been cancelled by him I called a taxi to continue on to my destination.
Not even 1 STAR. Manchester SCAMMERS !! Pretended my credit card wouldn't work (confirmed by my provider they were "reversing" charge to ensure failure) so made me pay extra $800 dollars for insurance I'd already privately purchased. Seems regular scam from other comments. Also paid for large estate car and got tiny accident damaged FIAT as the one ordered had a "windscreen crack" another scam. Also tried to sting me for said "accident" damage as not on their report (which I only got after asking via email twice). Therefore I had proof.
The rudest and most passive aggressive customer service I've ever experienced. I hired a car from the Edinburgh branch yesterday. We were flying from Bristol to Edinburgh but my car broke down on the way to Bristol so we missed our flight. We managed to rebook and were expected in Edinburgh around 5.30pm. I rang the Drivalia number as soon as I changed flight and told them we'd be there around 5.30pm. The woman said this would not be a problem.At Edinburgh Airport the shuttle bus took over half an hour to leave (although the driver was lovely and apologetic about the delay). We got to the car collection office and queued for around half an hour before being 'greeted' by the agent. There were various condescending questions and responses from him before he told me they were trying to find a car for me. In the meantime, he got me to fill in the paperwork even though they couldn't guarantee they had a car for me. I had a question about the insurance I'd already taken out with Booking.com and he said it didn't cover me hiring the car (it did) and he then charged me a £117 late collection fee (even though I'd called ahead to let them know I was going to be late). Lots of other issues with the way i was spoken to by this man.I've hired a lot of cars over the years. This was my worst experience ever. I will be making a formal complaint.
