Absolute joke - avoid at all costs. Booked and paid on Monday for a LWB van to be collected at 9.30am today Saturday. Chaos on arrival, disorganised & disgruntled customers. I had to wait for almost an hour before I was dealt with at the desk, only to be told the van I'd booked and paid for wasn't there & there were no alternatives. However, one might be returned at 12pm if I wanted to wait. Obviously I was incredibly frustrated after making very specific arrangements for the day on a strict timetable, I didn't raise my voice or use bad language but apparently my tone must've shown my frustration & the petty agent behind the desk informed me he wouldn't be spoken to like that. Laughably ridiculous!!! Almost as ridiculous as paying in advance for a service which was never given and being told I will have to wait 3-4 days to get my money back. Not only this but because I then needed to book an alternative van from a different company the price on the day was over double what it would've been if I booked in advance. Drivalia are just not worth considering
Loads of hidden charges when you arrive to pick up the car. Staff there aren't interested Also they sell the vehicle you have hired again on line if you are late (I was an hour late and arrived there and they had re sold it again )
We rented a car from the Rome Fiumicino branch. We had booked a car seat for our toddler. Our flight was delayed and though we had rang the company to update them, when we arrived we were told that they had no car seats left. We were told that our only option (at 7pm at night) was to find a shop near the airport to buy a car seat. There was no apology or help provided. Overall service was appalling. My husband had to leave us at the airport and drive c.1 hour to find a shop to buy a car seat. Would not recommend for families or anyone else.
Tony was very friendly and helpful. Make sure you’ve got a credit card or you’ll end up spending more money to put down a deposit. Also don’t bother purchasing insurance through easyJet - waste of money. Car’s great and staff are lovely.
It took over 1 hour from arriving to the pick-up point (which is not were the other car rentals are but further away) until we had the car. I booked the car through rentalcars.com, and becausenot buying the insurance from them you have to put a £1500 deposit.On the way (in England during a heat wave) we discovered that the AC was not working, and when we returned and pointed that out we were told that it is company policy that AC is not guaranteed.Today it is 3 bank days since I returned the car and the £1500 deposit is still not returned, and in a couple of days I will have our next rental and that may cause a problem.
Our experience with Drivalia at the Glasgow Airport was the worst I've had with any car rental company in my 25 years of renting vehicles.We selected 12pm arrival for (2) 9 passenger vans. After a delayed flight, long customs line, and filling out a form for a missed bag, we emerged from the airport exit at 2.30pm (14.30). We called Drivalia to come pick us up as they are off-site. They informed us that because we did not arrive by 1pm, not only did they give our two vans away, but our booking is non-refundable under their policy! No vans, no refund, and definitely no help in finding an alternative solution. Do not rent here no matter what. No matter how good the price. No matter how pretty the picture of the vehicle is online. Total scam.
