Aucie (may not be well written) and Scott were impeccable at the pickup and return of the vehicle. The general experience with the car rental was very positive and the upgrade to an automatic car was wonderful.Much appreciated

Waste of customers time

Waste of customers time. I checked in on line to save time, I have limited time in London. After the effort spent to do a pre check in I arrived at their office and queued next to an upset elderly lady, who seemed to be overcharged speaking with a less than helpful service agent. I then discovered despite my pre check in effort that they wouldn’t rent a car to me because of points on my license without any direction on getting a refund. Horrible service after a long flight and limited time. They were the cheapest, but my advice is to use a well organised and upfront company like EuroCar or Avis every time.

Although we had issues with our flight being delayed therefore, Drivalia couldn't give us the car we'd ordered, we were VERY impressed with the customer service we received from Matt at Manchester airport.

Avoid

I booked online but had to pay an additional £250 at Drivalia Stansted because I didn't have a credit card but only a debit card! This is scandalous. Not everybody has a credit card, a lot of banks only issue debit cards. Many customers in the queue before me had the same issue and were charged an extra £250, Drivalia knows it and takes advantage of this. Also had to wait one hour before getting the car. I will never use Drivalia anymore.

Poor customer service

The pick up from the airport was great and the driver was friendly. Unfortunately I did not have the same experience with the guy behind the counter. He was not pleasant at all and ran through the terms and conditions at speed. He even pressed the buttons on the screen without giving me a chance to read. When I asked if he could clarify if there was any damage on the car he said it would be in the rental agreement emailed to me. The email did not contain any details of damage. Also he said there shouldn’t be any damage as it was a fairly new car. However there was a big dent in the rear quarter panel. I returned the car out of hours and I am still waiting confirmation that everything was okay with the car. It is now over a month since the rental ended

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked a car with this company. The assistand named Adam is nothing short of a rude, agressive bully, he should not be allowed a customer facing role, I already had private excess cover in place but he puts the fear of god in you by telling bear face lies in order to get his insurance sale, he intimidated me but i stood my ground and refused. He then told more likes like "i wouldnt get a lift back to the airport if returning the car after 5pm and would need to walk" another lie, they close at 6pm and offer transfers until this time. I returned the car and witnesses Adam telling more lies to a lone female about her credit card not being valid as it expired in 3 months, thankfully I recorded him saying this and im in talks with watchdog and the FCA over his "sales tactics"I put in a complaint via the correct channels and Adams pal (the manager) called me to say he was shocked as he had never had a complaint like this (odd that most reviews you will find say the same as my experience) and would ensure Adam is given training, and receives a disciplinary for his attitude/lies (believe that you believe anything) I was then offered 50% off my next car with them!! As if I would ever want to step foot in the place again.. joke really.. my advice avoid at all costs..

We recently rented a car through Drivaila, and from the moment we arrived, we were fortunate to be assisted by Tony, who completely exceeded our expectations. He was not only professional and efficient but also incredibly warm and welcoming.Tony made the entire car pickup process smooth and stress-free. He greeted us with a genuine smile, took the time to walk us through all the details of the rental, and ensured we felt completely comfortable before hitting the road. What really stood out was his exceptional customer service – it honestly felt more like dealing with a friend than a rental representative.But Tony didn’t stop there. He went above and beyond by recommending fantastic local spots to visit, some of which we would never have discovered on our own. Thanks to him, our trip turned out even more memorable. It’s rare to come across someone who is both knowledgeable and passionate about making sure guests have a great experience.If every car rental experience could be like this, traveling would be so much easier and more enjoyable. Tony is a true asset to Drivaila, and we can’t recommend him highly enough. Five stars all the way!
