Review Time
haven't got the car yet but as for now I'm satisfied. Matt Carter answered all my questions in a polite way and I had em few...:) will review again after I come back from EDI to summarize it all - will see if there is something in those bad opinions :)
I booked online a specific car for rental for 2 days, upon being seen to my vehicle by a member of staff i was told there are some cosmetic marks on the car, these turned out to be a smashed passenger side wing mirror with no plastic cover, drivers side front wheel arch had been hit badly and crunched in, the same side of the car showed scratches and marks of being scraped with paint removed. I asked for a replacement car straight away and was refused. i was told the car drives fine despite its "cosmetic" marks. After 20 mins discussing this problem i was told by the member of staff it is either this car or they will cancel the agreement, BUT they will allow me 1/2 a tank of fuel for free. i upgraded my insurance with Drivalia to full protection and went on my way.upon returning the car this morning with 3/4 of a tank of fuel remaining, i have just received an email from Drivalia that i am being charged for fuel and damage to the car. i did take pictures of the car before and after my rental period. i will be pursuing this matter further.
I was hesitant to rent from Drivalia Norwich at first due to some mixed reviews, but there was a great offer that I just couldn’t pass up—and I’m so glad I took it! I’ve now dealt with Alex about three times over the last four months, and honestly, I would give her 10 stars if I could. She is absolutely amazing and consistently goes out of her way to provide the best service possible. Alex is truly a great asset to the company. If you’re considering renting here, please don’t be put off by the negativity you might have read—there are genuinely kind and helpful people working at Drivalia. I’m already looking forward to my next hire with them!
AVOID. They failed to explain all the details clearly and due to an issue with my credit card I ended up being forced to pay an additional sum of over £200 to get the car in order to get to an important meeting. They advertise low prices but they end up the same as others with better service. On returning the car they listed a parcel shelf at £250 as damaged after we left the compound. We didnt touch it at all. AVOID.EDIT. I received an email saying that the £250 charge for the parcel shelf was a mistake on their part. Had I not raised the issue I doubt the "mistake" would have come to light. Still wouldnt use them again as the overall experience falls well short of whats expected
