Great in person service

We booked via Wisecars in the US for a car for 3 weeks to use in the UK. The booking and confirmation was straight forward. We arrived later than planned for pick up and Zak Chaplin at the London Gatwick branch was very helpful in getting us organized and sorted out. We are grateful for him and his co worker for being so very kind and helpful when we were exhausted and with 3 kids in tow. The only issue was working out how to contact Drivilia with a question about extending our time with the vehicle. Wisecars and Drivilia had different booking numbers and phone numbers.

Leeching on additional charges

I got penalty charge notice for dartford crossing of 2,5 pounds - ive paid it immediately and send them confirmation. They took 50 pounds of admin fee that is not possible to get back - they call it admin fee for sending an e-mail i guess. This is just a scam to get additional money for missing payment that can happen when you visit a different country. No emails with confirmation from transport department that it's paid and closed helped. Avoid those sneaky basterds - they give low charges for rental but leech on additional payments.

Stay aware from this rental company

Stay aware from this rental company! Got charged £60 for taking a car on a ferry when there was nothing mentioned about it in the Rental agreement. Apparently there are two lines hidden in their T&C’s which states this but NOTHING in the rental agreement which we signed and assumed was the legally binding contract of the rental. Hostile staff members - a very unpleasant experience. Dodgy outfit!

Scam artists at their best

Giving a 1 star as the minimum value possible…These guys are crooks. They fleece you extra for insurance and then concoct damage that was pre-existing and charge your card even when you don’t give them card details.Beware they scam your card details from transactions not you giving them the details or consent to retain.They don’t respond to complaints and are the worst rental car company on the planet.Be warned… they are not worth the saving of a cheap rental with their hidden charges.

According to a communication from the company, a fine of £2.50 has inexplicably increased to £200, including £50 administrative fees for each surcharge and the subsequent referral of the debt to a collection agency. They have provided no explanation as to why they attempted to make unauthorised charges to my credit card. They offer no transparency and cannot be trusted.

this company is very disshonest

this company is very disshonest! they would not accept the rate they gave me, beceuae they claimed i was late. i arrived at the airport, called them that i was there. i did not have my own phone, beceause i did not have yet my simcard activated. they took 35 minutes to pick me up and bring me to their very remore location (FAR FROM AIRPORT) WHEN I ARRIVED THEY TOLD ME TEH CAR WAS CANCELED. ! but they could give me teh same car for 200 pounds more. wich was double the money! just beceause tehy knew we were stranded with our small children at a remore rental location. they were very disshonest. they knew we were there and knew we were coming and yet decided to count their pickup time for canceling our car., i tried to reason with them? and they wouldnt hear about it. they know planes are delayed. they had the car! and they were so disshonest. after us, a few other old poeple came and also had to go back for teh same reason. then i saw a lady argiung about a small sratch. they seem to get their money in a very disshonest manor. please dont make a mistake like i did. i have hired thousands of cars by the arge respected car rentals. and never ever had an issue of being delayed or anything else. you think, you will gain money, but in the end you will just lose. then when we returned teh car they were not there to give us a shuttle, wich meant another 25pounds for an uber. so in the end we were much more expensife off then renting near the airport by hertz or avis
