Review Time
Hired for 21 days, no problems with the car, but found the cost of rental was excessive, even charged GBP20.00 per day for auto/hybrid which we didn't ask for, plus GBP798.00 for "FamilyVacation Pack" which we don't know what it even is! Our pre-paid insurance through their agent was not accepted and we lost that money. We originally booked a smaller car. Upselling without revealing full details of the contract until we arrived home in Australia and checked our emails. Never, ever again will I use or reccommend this company.
Jay Patel was a diamond - after mucking about with your website and trying to get discount codes to work and then finding your cars cheaper through third parties he really efficiently and quickly beat their price by a tenner and got it done. Give the man a raise!!
Easy hire procedure (over the phone, with the branch). Professional and friendly service. Tony was very helpful in explaining prices and the whole hiring process. He also gave advice on toll roads etc and road directions.The car, Renault Clio, was clean and in good condition. A very nice car to drive. Instructions on the controls was given, as I was unfamiliar with the model.The pick-up point from the airport is walkable, but for those with restricted mobility, it is possible to request pick-up from the airport itself (£6 exit fee, because the bus has to pay to enter/exit the airport area). Perhaps the only problem was the early drop-off meant we had to order an Uber/taxi to get to the airport, as the Drivalia depot is some distance from the airport.Because Drivalia has such low hire prices, we were able to take fully-comp insurance for a very reasonable rate. I would definitely recommend.
Booked car through EasyJet. Arrived at about 10am (via free bus from Airport at Edinburgh), having done online check in night befor where I had to provide a copy of my bank statement(?why?). We did not leave with our card until 1115am such was the queue. Car was dented, scratched all over, dirty inside(and a holding deposit of £1500 on my credit card). Returned the car and the process was easier but no indication of when I will get the deposit back. Won’t use them again.
