Daniel at Glasgow Airport was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, took me through the basics of the car before leaving . Again on my return, it was Daniel that greeted me. I had a really positive experience and eiukd def recommend this company and by far the cheapest. Was exceptionally happy with overall experience.
Gareth at Drivalia Liverpool Airport was amazing!!! He was super helpful he helped us get a bigger car and a better ínsurance at an affordable price. I absolutely recommend Drivalia for anyone needing a car in Liverpool and North Gales. They are much more helpful and provide much better customer service than any of their competitors!!! Thank you.
One star for the terrible accessibility. The bus shuttle from LHR takes a lot longer than eluded to - nearly an hour in our case, and the bus timetables displayed at bus stops are simply wrong. So unless you’re prepared to pay for a taxi from LHR, don’t bother. To add to the frustration, office lines just rang and the service center was constantly engaged. Although the service agent was really helpful- when we finally arrived at the offices, the overall experience was not worth the hassle.
I have over the past 5 years rented from Drivalia (previously EasyRent) and had great service. The past two times of rental I was hit with charges for so called damage and a price that was outrageous. It is obvious that this company has new mandate given to the staff.I have no intention of hiring again from this company and suggest that anyone that does take a photo of every angle and in good light. You should also have excess insurance in place. It is a shame as they have lost a significant amount of business not just in the UK but across Europe. Drivalia - suggest that you look at the bookings in Birmingham and find the same driver with rather extortionate charges for small damages.
My experience with Drivalia was nothing short of appalling. They lure you in with what looks like a reasonable booking, but once you arrive you’re hit with a wall of outrageous fees and “policies” designed to extract every last penny.Firstly, they demand a £1500 hold on your credit card. If you don’t happen to have a credit card (or don’t want such a huge sum blocked), you’re forced into paying their extortionate “insurance” of £32–£41 per day. I explained that I already had my own comprehensive car hire insurance, but was told flatly that Drivalia does not accept outside insurance and that they would not honour my booking unless I paid their rates. Then came the worst part: they demanded an extra £60 just to take the car off mainland UK. When I refused to pay this absurd charge, they refused to take me back to the airport and charged me anyway. That kind of behaviour is beyond unprofessional — it’s outright extortion. The whole setup feels like a deliberate scam: the company relies on small print and unfair policies to trap customers into paying far more than expected. I’ve hired cars all over the UK and abroad and have never encountered such a brazen money grab.Save yourself the stress and expense – book with a reputable company instead.
We booked a car for our trip to Scotland in August. When we arrived at the rental desk the car that we booked, an Opel Grandland, wasn’t there. They made excuses and offered us the only other car they had available which was a Renault Clio. Much smaller and only just fitted our luggage. The branch manager promised us a partial refund of the rental price but we did not receive anything. I took it up via their complaints system when we got home. Again we were promised a refund which would be processed by their accounts office. 2 months later and still nothing. This is a horrible company to deal with and its customer service is the worse I have seen from any rental company, and I have hired lots of cars all over the UK and abroad in that time.Avoid this useless company and hire with a reputable rental company instead. Update - Drivalia have replied and told me to submit details of my complaint on their “manage my booking” page of their website. I had already done this after we got home, later in August and was told a refund would be issued, which has still not come. I submitted another complaint on 26 October about not receiving the refund. As yet no reply.Nothing so far has changed my opinion that this company is still useless and should be avoided at all costs.
One star is a star too many for these jokers, a disaster from start to finish. The van wasn't just a wreck that was unusable but the process of trying to get a satisfactory response to my complaint has been totally unacceptable. The van itself wasn't roadworthy and the rear doors kept bursting open, the engine warning light kept coming on and warning of a major fault and the exhaust was blown. Having returned the van early as I couldn't use it and complained straight away, 2 months later I am still chasing them for a refund, now had to go section 75 with credit card company. STAY AWAY FROM DRIVILIA AT ALL COSTS, NIGHTMARE COMPANY AND SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE :update: the reply! I have been using your complaints portal since the original complaint 2 months ago, a further insult and testimonial they don't know what they are doing at Drivalia
