The company was very helpful. They were fun and easy to work with. Answered all phone calls immediately. Explained things in great detail. They went out of the way to be helpful. Tony is super nice and has an amazing personality. Made me smile when I was having rough day.
I complained today about this company (their office in Birmingham airport) and had an insincere on line response from the office to say that they are “sorry” and I need to go to my booking and go through “manage my booking”. I did and I got no where. They charged me (debited my card) £60 for “admin fees” 2 months after I rented their car. They claimed that they received a parking ticket from PCN and they charged me the amount for forwarding their “expiation notice”. I was parking in a pub car park. I asked for photos and they said they cannot do it despite debeting my account without my consent for their “admin fees”. I note that other customers have complained about the same issue. They refused to admit that this was fake, scam and fraud. The police will be asked to investigate. I am glad that I refused to pay £1500 upfront as they asked me to do as I also note that other customers are struggling to get their money back.
During my rental, I received a parking fine. When I returned the car, I informed the employee who confidently told me that Drivalia immediately pays parking fines upon receiving them, using the deductible. This was clearly misleading.In reality, the fine wasn’t paid at all. Instead, it arrived at my home in Belgium long after the rental, and because of the delay, I was obliged to pay twice the original amount. As if that wasn’t already unacceptable, I then received a letter from Drivalia’s bailiffs demanding an additional £60 “administrative fee” for handling the very fine they failed to process in the first place.The communication was atrocious, the service was nonexistent, and the entire situation was careless and irresponsible from start to finish. I left feeling taken advantage of and completely ignored as a customer.I cannot stress this enough: avoid this company. My experience was a disaster, and I wouldn’t trust them with a rental ever again.
