Ripp off Firm

Absolutely outrageous and such a conning firm taking advantage and ripping people off . I have been to alot of places in my army life and seen alot of stuff but this has to be one of the worst places ive delt with , hired car booked and paid for over easy jet , arrived , firm Closed and i had to get a hotel room . Next day they took the payment again . And refuse to return it. . Not a Happy veteran feel betrayed in my own land. Steer clear of this firm

Awful robbery experience at the Heathrow…

Awful experience at the Heathrow airport branch. I booked a car online at a cost of around £350. Because I arrived a minute after my allocated two hour arrival window ( due to waiting 45 mins for their shuttle bus) they wanted to treble the cost of the booking to almost £1000! I complained that this was very unfair so they knocked a little off but with absolutely no contrition or empathy. Really, it’s total rip off. I told the woman who served me that her attitude was poor ( as she should have been very apologetic but. Clearly didn’t care. Her response “ I got you a discount didn’t I?” I have previously had great experiences at the Sheffield branch but would never use Heathrow again. It’s a schlep to get to, anyway. 2.5 hours after landing I left Drivalia and jumped in a cab after cancelling my booking entirely. They don’t deserve my business.

A very poor experience

If it was possible to give this company a zero I would. I have lost £250 so far through this company and have not even had the car to drive. The first £140 was due to the hidden charges of £1500 which I refused to pay as this was not communicated to me prior to going to pick up the vehicle. I ended up not having the vehicle at all. Then the second £110 was today. I made a booking which was meant to commence today only to go to branch and be told that the booking was made for the 30th of this month. Then calling the head office to get my refund they said its not possible and they were very rude on call. My advice is to run away from them completely

Disappointing experience

Disappointing experience. Despite paying for zero excess, we were charged £32/day extra just for using a debit card — money we won’t get back. The “like for like” fuel policy was unfair too: car started with under half a tank, making it hard to judge refuelling, and we ended up returning it with far more fuel than we received. On top of that, our 10 a.m. booking wasn’t honoured as no cars were available; we didn’t leave until almost 11. Staff were kind, but overall the policies felt misleading and I won’t rent here again

I was there to rent a car with my son. Viyu was the man who helped us with all documents. He was absolutely brilliant. Good profesional and very friendly. The car he offered to us was fantastic and in very good conditions.

Had some issues with the credit card which were solvable but took some time. Despite agreeing with the staff behind the counter to hold back the car, the car was rented out to others, leaving us stranded in the middle of nowhere at 20:00 in the evening. Voicing this frustration, staff reacted impulsive.

This car rental has a very simple policy: offer the lowest prices in the market and if you do not take their ridiculously priced insurance per day, then keep the FULL deposit upon searching thoroughly for the tiniest 1 mm mark anywhere on the car. Only book here when you’re penny wise, pound foolish !

Never use Drivalia, when something goes wrong, there will be no support

We ordered a car with the below cover for our holidays, which we have collected on the 17th with Super Relax and Unlimited Mileage.We never received a copy of the signed contract (empty email sent), plus the copy PDF is not available online. We were sure we have full coverage when we departed from Belfast.We had a terribly bad accident a day later, we glad we survived. As a side note, the safety bags did not inflate in the car It was at 6 pm. We called all available Drivalia numbers multiple times, we had to deal with answering machines. They provided no roadside assistance at all. We left voicemails, we also sent an email. The police had to manage to take the vehicle due to no response from Drivalia.We requested a new car the next day, when we finally got hold of someone, we had absolutely nothing provided to us, so we lost 3 of our booked hotels, totalling 500 EUR. We filled out the necessary reports and forms, but since then, we received no update on the topic. Again, we called many numbers since then, was impossible to speak to anyone who knew what is going on.Yesterday, we received a 230 pound charge and a brand new, unsigned contract stating our cover is Basic+ full cover . We called again 3 times and emailed for the original contract, of course no reply.We have had an incredibly stressful vacation, a bad collision, physiological damage, we paid almost 700 EUR and we received no support or help from anyone in Drivalia. Now it seems they are trying to fool us with our cover as well to charge us more money. Dont ever hire a car with them.25.08.2025: I contacted Drivalia as suggested below by the member. We had no proper explanation or solution. We have been charged for an excess plus admin fee for the collision. 1000 pounds spent, no replacement car given, no roadside assistance, poor customer service and zero compensation on our lost hotels.Today, 12.09.2025 we received another email demanding 14k for repair "regardless of being responsible for the accident". No breakdown on repair cost for a car they claimed to be scrapped on a phone call on 25.08.2025 nor any info on the police report. All this with full cover. This case will be escalated to the international bodies.
