We purchased a large 8 piece palliser sectional. In the first year one of the motors went on a recliner. It took almost 6 mths and 3 trips to get the right one. The salesman sold us on the fabric after taking a key to it, and promised it was indestructible and better than leather. Before the first year was up the lean on the one recliner cracked and practically disintegrated. They replaced that one. The console fabric started wearing and the arm on one recliner. Now the fabric has been discontinued. We haven’t even had it 5 years. We spent $7000 and took good care of it. They just say there’s nothing they can do, even if we’re willing to pay for a repair. It’s basically garbage.

I was waiting since November 2025 and have already accommodated multiple delays and backorders. I was told December 22, then it got back ordered again January 6th then January 12th. I made myself available for delivery for two months. It is not reasonable to expect me to take a full day off work due to ongoing issues on their. I asked them to accommodate times where I do not have to take a full day and get delivery after 4:30pm, guestcare agreed to this but the delivery people refused so I asked for 2:30pm, they refused again. The coffee table I ordered that did come in time, 3/4 wheels broke off within the first month. I moved the coffee table twice!!! Absolute garbage company with even more garbage products. Save your money and buy from somewhere better quality. Not to mention customer service is horrible, good luck speaking to a real person. It’s all AI now. I canceled my order. Will never order from there again.
Purchased a TV, couches and chest freezer. Delivery was cancelled due to delivery truck unable to find my address. Delivery was rescheduled for 4 days later. Received white glove delivery, couches and tv were perfect but the freezer was very damaged. Delivery men were very quick setting up couches and positioning them. Very professional! They took the damaged freezer back and reported it. I received a replacement in just over a week. My experience with Dufresne has been excellent, from the shopping to the purchase to the delivery.
Horrible company in Saskatoon. I bought furniture from them and I made the terrible mistake to go through their "financing company."They set me up with 35% interest per month after the "no interest" period ended. And the love seat is lousy quality. The pillows are already squished flat after less than a year of use, something that the salesperson told me wouldn't happen.Do not give your money to these spiders.
Sales and delivery great. The salesperson was friendly but not pushy - whether I shopped in main area or in discounted part of store. I found what I wanted. The terms were clearly discussed.Delivery was well arranged, providing updates on arrival time as well. When they arrived, they were very friendly and professional.Thanks Brandon, MB Dufresne.
I purchased a fold out couch which after the second use the head portion falls to the floor, the matress slides out the head end when you try to fold it up making it impossible and the bolts (w/o nuts just screwd in to light weight metal) stripped out and let all of the springs holding the base to the frame fall on the floor. Because it was a recent purchase I contacted their "help" line. Over the course of the next hour or so I was passed between customer reps (3 total) who literally had to spell for me what they were saying because their accent were so strong they were impossible to understand. What they were able to finally get across was the only help was an AI chatbot. Nothing but dropdown menus that did not pertain to my issue. I sent photos of the issue, they would not accept the the asked for a warranty # ???? no indication of where this could be found and no place to ask the question so no way to get help. It worked EXACTALY like intended. Banal, dehumanizing, nonsense designed to delay, deflect and solve nothing. The good news is I was able to find a phone number for the store I purchased it from and they are trying to help resolve this issue. I thank them for that. As for the chatbot "help" line, shame on you for calling that worthless nonesense service.
We have shopped at Dufresne Furniture for many years as well as our family members. In October 2024 we purchased a mattress and also 2 recliners, the mattress came within days and we’re happy with it. They told us the recliners would be 6 to 8 weeks before delivery. On January 2nd we called to check On the delivery date and they said it would be at least another eight weeks. At that point we said, please cancel our order as we don’t want to wait any longer. We called the manager at the Nairn store Winnipeg and Janet said she would work with us, but then said if you cancel you will be charged $720 for restocking. We agreed to purchase more furniture and appliances, not all at the same time, but in the future. We need new sofa and appliances but not all at once. The chairs were not finished, so why wait 16 weeks or more for delivery. We were not told when we purchased the recliners that we would have to wait more than four months. So she refused to cancel the order, and when we called back in February Janet was very rude to us and said you have to pay for cancelling And that she is going to charge our Fairstone account. Today I got a notice that she charged us $801. We feel this is outrageous! A big company like Dufresne should have a little more leniency and better customer service!! We are seniors on pension and feel like we were ripped off and treated horribly. Our family will never shop there again and will let our friends know that Dufresne do not care about their customers!
In December, 2024 I ordered a new dining room table set from Dufresne. The table arrived damaged, they brought it back to be fixed - brought it back, it was still damaged. Sent it back again, arrived damaged again. Their customer service team refuses to do business over email and force you to talk to someone on the phone. Welcome to 2025 I guess.A "Better Experience" is what you get when you meet your customer where they are at, take ownership of your mistakes, and not force customers to jump through hoops to get support.
I used their e-commerce system for buying a small item (eye night time cover). System worked well, but that was about it!They seem to treat every purchase as if it is a 900kg sofa!!! I was supposed to get a delivery option message, never came. Talked to customer support, and promised return calls, never came. It was shipped around the country and they still wanted to schedule a delivery to me.It was a 0.5kg package!!! Get with the times Dufresne, send by UPS, would have saved your company a ton of handling costs and resulted in a happy customer. Ordered it Dec 5, received it Jan 7 and went to pick it up from a local drop off point. WTF!!! 🤬 Your e-commerce team should come into the 21st century and update their antiquated practices, policies and procedures. Pathetic!No comment from my request to speak to an executive. Like to hide I guess.Beware
