Misleading web site. The website says no call out fee. Guy came out to look at the drains. Literally lifted a manhole cover and ran some taps then put the manhole cover back. Charged £190!Phoned to discuss the charge and the person on the phone was very rude. While trying explain the situation she simply talked over me and asked if I would like to pay over the phone. Absolute ripoff! Will not be using Dynorod again.
Extremely Disappointing Service and Complete Lack of CareWe recently arranged for a Dyno-Rod engineer to attend one of our managed properties on behalf of our tenants, who were experiencing issues with both the shower and toilet draining slowly, along with the kitchen waste pipe. For context, we have used Dyno-Rod many times over the years and have always relied on them for professional, reliable service. Unfortunately, this latest experience has left us seriously questioning what has happened to the company.As usual, we informed Dyno-Rod of the issues in advance and requested that the engineer call upon arrival so I could meet them on-site to advise on the drainage system. I was already at the property—in another flat—waiting for the call. No call ever came. Several hours later, I instead received an email from our tenant saying the engineer had been and gone, and had only unblocked the toilet. No proper investigation, no assessment of the shower or kitchen drainage, and absolutely no communication.We asked the tenant whether they had been given any paperwork or a service report—nothing. I waited to see if anything would be emailed afterwards, but after a full week, still nothing.I called Dyno-Rod for an update and was told they would speak to the engineer and call me back. Twenty-four hours passed with no response. I called again and was told there was still no update. I made it clear how unacceptable the service had been and requested the job be cancelled, specifically asking not to be charged so that I could arrange for another company to do the job properly. It has now been a full day since that call, and again—no email, no call, no acknowledgement.I genuinely don’t know what has happened to Dyno-Rod. The total lack of care, customer service, accountability, and professionalism is astonishing. After this experience, it’s clear they simply do not care anymore, and we will be taking our business elsewhere.
Having woken up one morning to find our overflow pipe from the water tank in the loft had been overflowing during the night, I phoned Dyno Rod first thing. They said they would get someone out to me same day. I was kept informed during the day as to when the engineer would arrive as they were very busy. A very friendly and polite engineer called Grant, arrived later and quickly identified the problem. He did a great job replacing the ballcock. Grant made sure everything was working properly before he left. He was thorough and efficient throughout. Very happy with the result thank you.
The gentleman who came to do the inspection was very friendly and professional. He knew what he was doing and he was happy to discuss what he had found with us afterwards. The weather was atrocious the first time he came but that didn’t dampen his spirits and he just cracked on with the job. The only reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is because the texts sent out by the office weren’t particularly informative or helpful in that they didn’t give any indication of timings or explain what the plan was.
