I rented a car for ten days in France with full coverage. Two days later, I received a parking fine, which I had actually paid but didn’t display on the dashboard (it seems in France you still need to do that, even when the machine records your license plate). I contacted the company to explain the situation and mentioned that I have all the receipts, so the fine could be easily contested. It took three days for them to respond, only to inform me that the fine had already been paid along with an additional 35€ for their administrative fees. If they had responded sooner, I might have avoided this charge. Unfortunately, that extra amount is now lost to me, even though the fine itself can still be disputed. Just to note, the parking fine was 25€.

But of course, that's profit for them. The fine can still be contested, but I will never see that 35€ again. P.S.: The parking fine was 25€.
During a holiday in Bordeaux, we rented a car. When we picked it up at the railway station, the representative pointed out scratches on the left rear fender, took pictures, and entered them into their system. When asked directly, she said we didn’t need to take pictures, so we didn’t. On Friday, August 30th, we returned the car at the airport on time, where the reception claimed there was a scratch on the rear left screen. We were aware of this since they had pointed it out. The reception demanded payment for the scratch. We refused to pay based on the fact that it was logged at the railway station. We received payment demands but declined, leading them to withdraw DKK 12,000 from our account. I will never rent from this company again.
I was charged €1500 for a scratch that was caused by rocks on the road, located at the base of the car. The staff did not believe me when I said there were no bumps or accidents. The scratch is not worth that amount; it is just general wear and tear and should not have been considered damage. I filed a complaint, but nobody responded. Do not use this service.
This company is corrupt and tried to charge my credit card after I returned the vehicle for damage I did not cause. The car looked like it had been through a demolition derby upon delivery. They have provided no follow-up communication detailing the charges they're claiming. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company, armed with all the evidence. Avoid these dishonest individuals at all costs!
A car was rented for me from a local office by a breakdown service on March 30th. I was assured that my credit card would not be charged, only to find that they took 79.99€ from me. Despite numerous calls and emails over two and a half months, they have not responded as promised or refunded the unauthorized charge. This is theft.
I rented a car from a service in Nice that is part of a larger group. The wait time at the airport was about an hour, which isn’t ideal. I was told the rental car was in perfect condition, but I noticed a few small scratches upon collection and documented them. I parked the car in a locked space and returned it in great condition, but now I find I’ve been charged over £200 for supposed damage. I can confirm it was returned in the same condition. No proof or explanation was provided, and I've only received an automated reply. I feel this is a scam, and they have dishonestly taken my money. Avoid this company.
I experienced exceptionally poor service... I was offered a car that nearly fell apart after leaving the shop, yet I was asked to pay for damages we didn’t cause. Stay away from this company, or at least hire a mechanic to inspect the vehicle they provide before you leave.
Everything seemed fine - we received an upgrade because the car we booked wasn’t available, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, when I got home, I found they had not fully refunded my deposit. When I called the rental location, they admitted a mistake and said I would be refunded. No refund appeared. I called multiple times, each time being told, 'yes, you will be getting a refund soon.' I tried contacting central customer service but received no answer. Eventually, I was told to email them about the problem. I expressed my frustration, stating it shouldn’t be my responsibility to rectify their mistake. I spoke to a manager who agreed to process a refund and promised to email me once it was confirmed. So far, no email, and I’m still out of pocket, having spent who knows how much on phone calls.
I booked a van hire in a location. Upon arrival, I was informed there was no van available for my return journey - end of discussion, with no interest in helping. If you think your booking confirmation means you will have a vehicle, think again. Apparently, this doesn’t guarantee anything. You’ll be lucky if they actually have any vehicles at all, as I discovered. They also held onto my deposit for two weeks. Be cautious; they will charge the full deposit amount to your credit card, which other rental companies do not do. They hold onto your deposit for as long as possible because they are dishonest.
