Ordered a time planner notebook, was shipped in a flexible packaging from US to UK so of course it arrived damaged and unusable - it had been bent in half. ((Notebook was over £20)Said wouldn’t do replacement and would offer £4 off as “ gesture of good will that would come directly from our profits”If I returned for a refund it would only be partial as they take 15% off as admin feeWhat a joke
Ordered from Ergodebooks via AbeBooks... HUGE mistake.Ordered 2 books, receiving tracking information for one. Thinking they were both in the same shipment, I waited. One book arrived.I emailed the seller Dec 12th via AbeBooks portal (the only way to contact them, apparently) & was not given tracking info. Emailed again Dec 17th to ask for tracking information on the 2nd book & the response was, "We would like to inform you that your items have been shipped separately. You may receive them in different packages and potentially on different days. Please rest assured that your items are on their way."Requested tracking information again on Dec 19th. Nothing. Enlisted AbeBooks customer service on Dec 20th to assist with obtaining tracking information from Ergodebooks. Finally received tracking information on the 21st.The first book received was ordered in error - my mistake. Hubby wanted books 4 & 5, but I mistakenly ordered books 1 & 4. I requested to return the unopened book 1 & was refused because, well, basically they didn't want to... Despite multiple requests to return the book, they refused because apparently the return policy via AbeBooks is very subjective - they can just say no & you have to eat the book. I will not be using AbeBooks nor Erdogebooks again. I recommend your spend your money elsewhere & save the headache.
I ordered a book through Amazon from this company about reflexology, they stated it was in good condition but when it arrived there were pages missing and the cover was dirty.False advertising .I requested to return for a full refund as the book was substandard and told to post at my cost. Still waiting for refund. AVOID this company. I am constantly being bombarded with telephone calls and messages which are distressing me. Please stop this now and just refund my money
They claimed to have sent the $10 copy of a book I never received; claimed not to have another copy to replace it; claimed to have refunded the $10; and then I discovered that the book I ordered was now listed again by them on Abe at over $40.Most booksellers are in the business for love of it, and not to make a fast buck. Ergodebooks, on the other hand...Obviously, I will never buy from them again, and would not recommend them to anyone else.
The book I received was rated as being in FINE condition. Instead it was a heavily used former library book (not disclosed) with ripped dust cover and dirty edges. Due to the cost of shipping it back I am out the cost of the book. They can improve their service by providing an accurate description and rating.
I received the wrong book. I sent the book back. They received the book on Sept 9th 2024. I requested a full refund of my original purchase. Today is Sept 24 2024. Still have not received my refund! I would highly recommend staying away from this seller. They are bad news!👎
My book was purchased as a used book in excellent condition. Once it arrived, it was in poor condition at best. There was writing throughout the book, the back section became unbound and chunks of pages falling out. It was worn and beyond well used. They tried to say all of this happened during shipping, ha! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to purchase. On the plus side, if you can call it that, I was refunded $3.
if i could put this at 0 i would. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUYER!! i ordered a £45 book and in return not only did i get the wrong book but i got a £6 instead. do not EVER buy books that arent sold anymore from this website. I was already weary since i had seen all the bad reviews, do not buy from the company. They are a scam and refuse to give refunds.
