NOT HAPPY!!!

First off, it took almost a month to get it. I ordered it in mid-January 2025 and didn't receive until the end of the second week of February. Second, the book I ordered said it was "Very Good" condition, but the packaging had two packing slips in it that said "Acceptable" (slips dated 5/02/2024 and 5/31/2024). And, I can say, it wasn't! It had handwriting (in pencil and pen) on several pages, as well as two different colors of highlighter! I am SOOO disappointed!!!

Unethical Seller Practices: Cancelled Order & Price Hike

I placed an order with this seller on AbeBooks at the clearly stated price, only to have my order cancelled with the excuse that the item was "unavailable." Shockingly, the same item was then relisted at a significantly higher price. This dishonest practice of cancelling orders and then inflating prices is completely unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed and strongly discourage anyone from dealing with this seller.

I'll Never Do Business with Ergodebooks Again

I ordered a first edition book. They send me a rebound college library book. They denied my request for a refund/return. The book came from another company. Biblio, the online bookstore forced them to give me a refund. They wanted the book returned but would not send me a prepaid return label. Now, over a month later, they continue to send me harassing emails to return the book. Biblio told them to send me a label but they have not. I will never do business with Ergodebooks or Betterworld Books (their shadow company) again.

DO NOT USE THIS SELLER (thru AbeBooks). I ordered a book, pub date shown on AbeBooks to be recent. The book I actually from Ergodebooks received was 20 years old. I wrote to them twice, with photos, w/details of discrepancies in ISBN shown on AbeBooks vs ISBN of what I received, photos showing actual pub date. Ergodebooks claimed TWICE there was no problem. Avoid this seller.

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. The book I ordered never arrived, they just kept giving duff excuses saying that it was on its way but running late.Eventually they said the package may be lost but they are impossible to get hold of to ask for refunds or compensation.Avoid this company.

Cancelled order + huge price increase

Never send the book I ordered. When I asked about it they told me it got lost in the mail. I originally bought the book for €200, now it's up for €1400. Truly insane.

A real discredit to Texas and the American way

Dishonest, deceitful, incredibly poor customer service aftersales.Sent a damaged book described as fine then stalled the refund process as long as they could in the hope I would go away.Once they had received the tracked return, continued to stall the refund process. Now 2 months later since the purchase and still no refund.Untrustworthy and would avoid them totally. A real discredit to Texas and the American way.

Avoid This Company

I ordered a book on 4/12 which finally turned up on 23/12. You would think that sending from US to UK something more protective than a plastic postal bag would be used. The book was delivered in a really bad state with badly damaged/ripped corners and spine (hardback). I can't say how much was done in transit but I don't think it was sent in the condition advertised either, (luckily I had paid by Paypal and raised a dispute). They sent me so many intimidating emails when I asked for a refund, even with my photo evidence where they would be able to make a claim against couriers. They promised a refund if I removed the dispute on Paypal first which when I researched others had been told not to do. Finally got my refund today and a huge lesson learned.
