Poor customer service with lengthy refund process. Agreed on £100 goodwill gesture to be sent and received in 1 week. Before the 2nd week arrived I've emailed them chasing up and considered bank holiday as potential delays. Still no £100 received I'm not the only person it seems being provided inaccurate information about goodwill gestures. Untrustworthy
This company is absolutely abmissal, do not order from them unless your happy to lose money.I ordered a table and chairs set from this company back in the beginning of January, 6 weeks later we was offered a £70 refund as a good will jesture because of how long delivery was taking which we accepted. We still have not received that £70. Around 2 weeks later ONLY the table was delivered NO chairs. When asked about the chairs the company said the couriers had left them behind and would send them out with a new courier- fine no problem. Weeks went by again so I contacted them again they said the couriers were trying to find a delivery route and the chairs would be with us by the weekend..As you guessed it we are still without chairs and we are now in May. They have now resorted to photoshopping the chairs and table into a picture of my living room which I sent as proof that the table was still in the box (and still is).I have contacted my bank to see they could resolve this, during countless conversations with my bank they sent me the evidence sent to them by this company which has my signature forged on one of the delivery documents as I wasn't even home when the delivery of the table took place my then heavily pregnant partner took the delivery and wasn't asked to sign anything. We have now contacted trading standards and are in talks with a solicitor regarding the forged signature and will be continuing to go down every avenue available to stop this horrendous scam of a company from “trading”. Please do not be fooled by their website's statement that they have excellent customer service, they have ignored every attempt of a conversation through WhatsApp and every call made rings through to voicemail.Unless you enjoy stress and losing your hard earned money please avoid at all costs!The person behind the phone is a terrible liar. **REPLY TO ESME FURNISHINGS *LIES****You are getting caught up in your own lies !! That's why you felt the need to edit your original reply, after I spoke to you on the phone and asked you to send me the evidence you have. You couldn't do it because you have no evidence to back up your lies !! You originally said you had photographic evidence with the table and (missing) chairs in my property !! WHICH MAY I ADD THEY PHOTOSHOPPED A PHOTO OF AN ASSEMBLED TABLE INTO MY LIVING ROOM. The delivery driver took a photo of the table in its box in my living room and they used this photo for their scamming evil ways! The bank are reopening the dispute after seeing all the evidence we have and are giving esme furnishings 7 days to rectify their lies.
My partner has already wrote a review for this company and was replied to with a complete lie about the chair legs being missing which stephen even admitted on a phone call that it was meant for another review, clearly thats a lie aswell..all of the phone calls have been recorded and it wont be long before this company is shut down for fraudulent activities, unfortunately you can't add photos or videos to reviews on here otherwise they would be eating their words. After waiting 5 weeks for the delivery to finally come after being told it was going to be 7-14 days and offered £74 as a good will gesture for the slow delivery which I still haven't received, my pregnant partner took the delivery and asked where the chairs were which is all on our ring door bell and the delivery drivers saying they don't have them it must be getting delivered separately, I went onto the live chat and queried it and was told they had left the chairs behind and they will get them delivered ASAP, OK fair enough mistakes happen. Then after 3 weeks of being told they will chase the delivery company and then on a Thursday I was promised it would be delivered over the weekend and he would be in touch on Friday to confirm it I had an email stating they are still working on delivery routes, again the chairs never showed up and I went to the bank to see if they could help, they investigated and stephen from ESME had sent fake emails and forged my signature for delivery of the items even though I was working away at the time. We've given them plenty of opportunities to rectify the situation the just be met with constant lies and 'waiting on the team to get back to me'. I will be getting a solicitor involved for the fraudulent activity of forging my signature and faking emails with my email address to use for financial gain more and more people are coming foward and can't prove to other paying customers how much of a scam this company is. It's clear it's a very small operation with a well set up website where they just dropshot your order and don't deal with any backlash of the orders. Stephen is also very rude on the phone and won't let you speak january this table and chairs was ordered and still waiting 5 months later and no refund or partial refund the table is still in the original packing as we don't have the chairs. My advice to everyone is find a more reputable company with really verified reviews and ignore the fake responses from the retailer with made up stories as we don't get the option to reply or prove our allegations but ESME have lied and lied too many times and stole hard earned money and you won't be getting away with it any longer video footage and voice recordings don't lie and neither does your own emails stating we haven't had the chairs.. do the right thing and rectify your issues with customers and give them what they are owed.REPLY TO ESMEif you have photo evidence of the chairs fully assembled like you told the bank then why would I be asking you where the legs are?Your nothing but liars and the bank are re opening the case after reviewing my evidence and Action Fraud online are now aware and have said to give you 7 working days to rectify the issue before they take on yourselves, so stephen there's your chance to be the honest company that you keep saying you are and supply what I've paid for you won't get away with it and I won't drop it till I have my chairs.
The product bought was delivered within the timescales promised however, on receipt I noticed part of the assembly was rusty, given that it is a chrome finish the rust isn't a good thing, I asked for a replacement, following a call from the team the matter was resolved very quickly.
Delivery later than anticipated but kept in the loop continually and communication was great. Delivery guys were efficient and polite. Coffee table was absolutely stunning and to be honest the pictures on site really don’t do it justice. It’s exactly what I was looking for and more. I’m so impressed I’m actually looking at purchasing the dining table! Would recommend.
