CONTACT BEING IGNORED AND FALSE…

CONTACT BEING IGNORED AND FALSE PROMISES! We placed an order for a set of 6 dining chairs back in November. The delivery arrived 2 weeks later, when we opened the boxes the chairs were the complete wrong colour. We contacted Esme immediately and they assured us that the chairs would be collected and an exchange would be made. When we explained the chairs were the wrong colour we were given a complete different design and told the ones we had ordered were now out of stock. We explained we would wait for the stock to come in, and was advised this would be Christmas week. Christmas came and passed, after being told the day before the wrong stock had come in on the shipment we were told this wouldn’t be delivered in time for Christmas now. However we would have the chairs early part of new year. That came and went and when we contacted ESME they said the order had again been delayed and that we would have an update this week… when trying to contact the passed two days the calls have been answered and hung up or ignored entirely. Please, please, please don’t waste your time and money with this company. They are clearly doing it to everyone looking at the past couple of months reviews.

Bad customer experience still not received item requested refund

No communication about order money taken from account had to contact them for order number was told on 11 January that delivery planned for Thursday/Friday contacted them again as delaying work being completed and to receive email with “Hi” no mention of sorry for delay and that delivery planned once again for Thursday/Friday 😡Requested refund and have contacted bank!Bad customer service through out , minimal communication and response in emails

Keep delaying delivery, terrible excuses and no care

We ordered a fireplace from Esme Furnishings on 28/11/2025. We were told delivery would be mid December when I first chased up (took me 3 emails to get a first response from them), to then be told on 16th December "we have been notified today that there is 4-5 fires which has been sent to the courier but they have damaged them" and that they would deliver week commencing 5th Jan.I emailed again in January to get an update on my order. After being told "the courier will be in touch", I was told on 9th January, my delivery would be "next week". After following up with them for a confirmed delivery date (so that I can plan around my builders), they told me on 14th Jan "We have been advised that this was due to be collected from furdeco last week however the item was damaged whilst going into the trailer when they came". And my delivery is now scheduled for next week or latest week commencing 26th Jan. I have had builders waiting for this to progress on the next stage of my house build (media wall, final finishes etc) and this has held it up massively. They apologise in their emails, but there's nothing to show they mean it (empathising issues and costs for me with the builders as an example). They don't pick up the phone or answer the WhatsApp messages for the number displayed on their website.I would advise anyone ordering from here, to just be wary and reconsider if they want to go through having issues like this.

Avoid at all costs.

Ordered an electric inset fire from Esme. It arrived fine and I was happy with it. My issue is the after sale support. The remote stopped working shortly after and since then my experience with the company has been dreadful. I reported the fault to their WhatsApp and they promised to come back to me. After weeks of chasing them and getting no response, they blocked me on WhatsApp. I tried calling but no one ever answers the phone or returns calls. I emailed them - no response. I used their contact form and I received a brief response telling me that the remote (a small infrared remote) would cost me £45 to replace. What a rip off. They also told me to try resyncing the remote - it’s an infrared remote!! It isnt synced to the fire so that advice is absolute nonsense!! I WOULD SUGGEST YOU AVOID THIS COMPANY AND FIND THE PRODUCT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

Christmas without a dining table

Don't waste your time and money! Please read.I purchased a dining table on the 1st of December and the order confirmation email said they will be in touch to confirm the delivery date and time. Their website states that items are delivered within 7-14 working days. By the 17th of December, I hadn't heard from them yet. I sent an email asking when my item was going to be delivered, and they ignored me. Two days later, I called multiple times and always got an automatic response saying all the advisers were on calls. So I left a voicemail and two minutes later they finally responded to my email. But it was the most unhelpful and unapologetic email ever.All they said was that my item would be delivered on the Christmas week or the week commencing on the 5th of January. They couldn't even confirm it... So they clearly missed the delivery timeframe stated on their website, and they didn't even apologise for it. Understandably, I got upset as we were left without a dining table for the Christmas period. And what was their response? Literally this: "there is no need to get angry like this". Excuse me?! What kind of customer service professional would write something like that in an email?? Zero empathy and zero professionalism.Despite that, I still waited a few more days hoping my item would arrive at least for new year's eve. Of course it wouldn't - a few days later, I chased again and they confirmed I would receive it on the week commencing on the 5th of January. At that point, I requested a cancellation and a full refund. I'm still waiting to get my money back, and I fear I won't get it as all this seems to be a scam. So be careful and shop somewhere else!

ABSOLUTE AWFUL COMPANY!!

ABSOLUTE AWFUL COMPANY!!Had nothing but no end of trouble with this company. Awful customer service and quite frankly clearly do not care about their customers.Selling items that do not match the item description whatsoever, to then be told “it’s not their fault, it’s their suppliers fault”I was offered a partial refund for my item which I was happy with, to then still not ever receive this.Absolutely awful, AVOID!!

AVOID ESME FURNISHINGS!!!sold me a completely wrong product, at the price of £899!! And now upon trying to get in contact with customer service my number has now been blocked and all emails/messages being ignored.Would not go anywhere near this company again!!!

Do not trust, we ordered a table for Christmas and still hasn’t arrived we are now at the end of JanuaryThen told each time it will be following week and no communication or email statedThen when asked about courier details we were given the name of ACX 2 man courier company that did not exist Very very disappointing and wouldn’t want anyone else going though the stress and disappointment we have been put through
