It is a horrible company

It is a horrible company. I wish I could give a negative review if that were possible. They told me the total rental agreement price, but on the invoice, they quickly asked me to sign without realising that they had included additional charges.

Avoid Europcar scam

Avoid Europcar and their current scam. Europcar Victoria Station (Lon) took a booking and full price payment for a car/class they knew they didn't have. When I arrived, they then tried to upsell me to a higher cost class that they conveniently did have but for twice the price it was online. A clear scam. No one at europcar, in the branch or on the phone, would do anything to help. Now I have to find a last minute car somewhere else toget where I need to be. Stay away from Europcar.

The car was great and the service at the desk also, however on the day my additional driver was refused , they cant give you a reason at the desk had to email back and forth to find out why turns out a credit issue! Even though the car was fully paid for in advance and the deposit wasnt in their name or the booking! So i dont understand why it was a factor! So beware this is a factor in booking and you could be refused ur rental on the day of! Had to solo drive throughout europe or would have to cancel!

If I could give 0 star review I would avoid this company. Promised that they would deliver a disability car to me they never turned up and never contacted us so was left with no car all weekend and had to miss a hospital appointment but they weren't interested and couldn't care less .spent 5 hours on phone trying to get hold of someone they leave you waiting 20 minutes and then hang up on you. Went to there warrington depot and was told we can't help you yet it was them that was supposed to deliver the car to me that never arrived.so please don't use this company unless you want to be disappointed and left with nothink as this company is disgusting as a company. I will be advising everyone that I know not to use this company.

didn't bother turning up with van and no call

Despite being told the company would ring with a time the next day to deliver a van I needed, no one did. The branch just rang and then cuts you off after 20 mins with measgae saying they are extremely busy and please call back. Th contact sales line say ring branch ! saturday and I'm left with no van and no way of contacting any one until Monday. i wouldnt use this company again. I'll stick with you enterprise next time.

worst company with no customer service

I booked the car with car jet with confirmation number and paid full amount when I went there to collect the car ( Bath Brassmill lane) The Reception guy looked at me like I don't belong here and when I showed him the confirmation he said sorry we don't have car for you , I took my elderly parents so that I can show them Bath and around areas they charged full amount I could see so many cars parked but we were denied . I felt disgusted as it looked I was declined because of my colour and ethnicity I have to take my parents and stayed extra in a hotel room in Bristol no compensation offered and no refund was given by them till date after calling so many time I spoke to customer service manager Tracy she seemed to understand but did nothing and she mentioned this is normal practice that they don't have cars and they decline so it was my fault at the end to book with them .I would suggest anyone booking with them please book at your own risk as they can cancel when you go there and also take your money .They employ people who have no courtesy and don't say sorry and apologise .My whole trip was destroyed by Europcar .still no emails from customer service after I spoke to Customer service manager worst company ever used .

I’m absolutely furious with this…

I’m absolutely furious with this company. I and my father hired a vehicle for 2 days with which was collected on Thursday and to be returned on Saturday. We were requested to bring it back with a full tank of petrol which wasn’t a problem and that it could be returned at anytime on Saturday as an employee at the Leicester branch specifically said we could drop it of outside and leave the keys in a key deposit box. We got a email back on Sunday that said we will be charge £125 pounds instead of the originally £63.25 for the two days that was pending in my account. I am basically being charged for Sunday and I didn’t even have it on Sunday! I recommend that you never use this company to rent a car from because they are a scam!

Read before you book with Europcar

I was making a online booking for a rental that was for 26 days so a reasonable amount of cost at the weekend, when I would get to the payment the website kept coming back with a message "sorry our payment service is temporarily unavailable please try again later"I tried a number of times over Friday evening and Saturday and kept getting the same message. I called the advertised 03713840235, which i understand charges 55p a minute for the privilege to call Europcar to spend money with them. After 5 minutes listening to a recorded announcement and realizing the call had now already cost me £2.70 and still not spoken to anyone I hung up and will never be using Europcar UK again.My warning to anyone thinking of booking with Europcar it the company charges you 55p a minute to call them to make a rental booking then how much do you think it's going to cost you to call them to resolve any issue that may arise after you have returned the car. Every time you call their customer services is going to cost you lots of your money and they will have no urgency to resolve it.My booking today went to a rental company that provides a customer services number that is a normal national telephone number

Worst car hire experience ever!

After pre booking a car 3 months in advance for no reason they wouldn’t give me a car and made up an excuse that I’m on their watchlist. I received no emails or phone calls from them except to confirm my bookings and I’m not on any watchlist or did anything wrong at all. I couldn’t speak to anyone superior as they don’t work at weekends so ended up paying double the price to hire a car elsewhere. Wasting hours of my day, going through extreme stress after a very long flight! I’m very angry and disappointed with such appalling behaviour and clear breach of contract.
