The vehicle was collected from the main dealer on December 8, 2025. The booking was made through the service for disabled customers. It was observed that the fuel tank was below half, so I visited the nearby depot where a representative confirmed that the car was delivered with only half a tank. As it was being returned to the main dealer that day (day 4 of the rental), I inquired about the amount of unleaded petrol to add and was advised to estimate half a tank, with no penalty for being slightly under. I added £20 (paid by card) and saw it reading 3/4 of a tank. Thus, I returned it with significantly more fuel than it was delivered with. However, the service charged £48.50 to refill and incorrectly stated on their invoice that it was an 11-day rental instead of the four days I had it. They confirmed the car only traveled 67 miles during the rental yet expect me to pay a total of £68.50 due to their mistake. I strongly recommend steering clear of this service.
If I could give no stars, I would. I have been overcharged by over £1700, with no damage found as per all paperwork reviewed. I was informed I would receive a refund of £481, but no payments have been credited to my account. Additionally, they double charge you; they take your money and claim it’s in a holding account, even though it has already been deducted from your account. At the end of the rental period, they charge you again and fail to return any deposits. When visiting a branch, I was told they couldn’t assist and advised to contact customer service, which is unresponsive and often hangs up. I now need to seek legal help regarding this matter. Given the size of the company and the fraud they seem to commit, it appears unlikely that I will receive the overcharged amounts and deposits back on the card used for the rental agreement. This situation has left me financially unstable and has taken a toll on my mental and physical well-being. Please avoid this service; I wish I had read the numerous negative reviews before engaging with them. This has been the worst rental experience ever! The rental was from 10th November to 16th December, resulting in months of wasted effort.
The service is completely unacceptable; I have been attempting to reach the customer support team to inquire about the additional 149 pounds charged beyond the initial 231 pounds, but no one is available to assist me. They keep putting me on hold and then disconnecting the call. Truly disgraceful.
I rented a vehicle and received a fine in a parking lot. Since I work at the same location, I asked my coworkers to help cancel the fine because I forgot to register the rental car's details. They managed to cancel the ticket, and I forwarded the confirmation from the parking service to the rental company to waive the administration fee. However, they still charged me £50. This feels like a scam, and I will not be renting from this service again.
Our biggest error was not checking reviews of the service before our travel agent arranged a car rental. We arrived at the airport exhausted and not fully alert. We were informed that the car class booked was inappropriate, despite it having accommodated our luggage well before. We felt pressured to upgrade, with an additional charge of 100 per day, excluding a 19% airport surcharge and 22% VAT. We also accepted the nil excess option, but were not informed that listing both of us as drivers would incur extra costs. While the no excess charge was reasonable to avoid blame for any damage, it seemed unfair to charge for simply noting additional drivers, which did not happen. Seven days later, we returned the car in Edinburgh, arriving 10 minutes early only to find signs directing us deep into a large parking structure, eventually locating an unattended office. By the time we found someone to process our return, we were 14 minutes late and were charged for an extra full day. Considering the drop-off fees, unnecessary upsell, airport charges, VAT, insurance, extra driver fees, and the late return charge, the rental turned out to be extremely costly. We did ask our travel agent to address these extra charges, but there was no resolution. Lesson learned, and a warning to others: steer clear of this service.
This company has a contract with Motability. It took 2 weeks to find a suitable courtesy car, which delayed the car being booked into the garage for repair. Had the car repaired over 2 weeks ago and Europcar were given the information of where their car is. It's representative turned up unannounced to collect the keys when no one was at home. It fails to contact customers and when it makes errors it's customers responsible, it then said it had reported that "the customer refuses to return the car" to it's security which means it would not supply any car in the future if necessary.
Between Motability, RAC, Direct Line and Europcar no one communicates to each other and the Motability customer is left to sort these issues out for themselves.!

I made a booking on 1/12/25 through the online platform and paid £72.91 for 5 days. When I arrived to pick up the car at the local branch, I paid a deposit of £255.95. Unfortunately, they provided a manual car, but I only drive automatics, so I had to cancel the booking. The frustrating part is that they refunded my booking fee of £72.91 within three working days, but not the deposit of £255.95. When I called, they told me to wait another 10 working days. I waited patiently and called again on 16/12/25, only to hear them change their story, stating that my refund would be processed at the end of the booking period, which was 05/12/25, despite the booking being canceled on 1/12/25. They also claimed they hadn’t taken any deposit from me, but my bank statement clearly shows the deposit was charged by the company. There is a lack of accountability, and the staff handling the issue were unhelpful. I still haven’t received my deposit, which has been very stressful. I strongly recommend avoiding this service.
I rented a car from the local branch, paying from Tuesday to Saturday. Due to work obligations, I had to return the car a day early at a different location and was charged an additional £97 for this. I also paid a £250 deposit, but now I have to wait 3 to 10 working days to get it back! This experience has been incredibly frustrating! I won't use this service again!
I strongly advise against using this service as they appear to manipulate bank accounts and have poor communication skills. They withdrew the full amount from my account and then informed me that I would have to wait 14 days for a refund. My request was unexpectedly declined. I even had to involve the authorities since I still haven't received my refund. This experience has been incredibly disappointing.
