Avoid the MG at all cost. I’m now back from 1 month in Europe, I did not bother contacting customer

Picked up a car at Gatwick, great service! I ended up with an MG. No reflection on Eurocar but l will never drive one ever again. I went into Derby branch complaining about a miss fire under light acceleration. Response, they all do that and its the only car we have issues with. Sorry cannot help. Try Nottingham, same response, it's only a 1 litre, what do you expect? What l expect is a rental car that does not misfire. Is that too much to expect? Plus we have no cars available dispute a jammed car park. Avoid the MG at all costs. 21-day rental and it will remain parked until l return to Gatwick. Gatwick good, MG BAD.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. Disgusting company. Wrongfully charged for damages, I had to contact europcar myself to find out why there was money taken out of my account. 10 weeks after money was taken they finally admitted it was their error, advised I would receive a refund in 14-21 working days, and it is now the 21st working day and no refund. Called customer service and I have been told to wait until next Monday and if I don’t receive anything then to call back. Absolutely disgusting. I have been £550 down for the last 10 weeks and there has been no urgency or empathy from the company. Will never use again.

Booked a rental to be dropped off at my house for 8am , van never arrived then I get a call at 8.15 to say they have no vehicles..... cost me a day's work plus still need to arrange something else now at last minute

Documents changed after signing. Charged for 7 days insurance even though rental was 5 days.

The practices of the London Gatwick office are completely and utterly fraudulent. I write this review so others can be armed with information and well prepared not be defrauded by this specific Europcar office of London Gatwick airport. I rented a car on the 30th August with no additional insurance protection to cover the excess because it was already covered on my credit card insurance. I communicated this to the representative who then included medium protection on the package and completely disregarded my verbal request. He asked me to sign the back of the page which I did as it was left completely blank without any additions. After the rental had ended I recognised I had been charged extra on my credit card although there was no follow up email from Europcar to inform of any of the charges (although my email was clearly included on the agreement). I called the office and to my shock they forwarded through the back page agreement which now had handwritten additions of the medium protection package.Europcar, let’s be clear, this is complete and blatant fraud to change a document after it has been signed! Not only this, but I was also charged for 7 days of insurance even though the rental lasted for only 5 days! See photos on Google Review of Europcar London Gatwick for confirmation of this. This rental finally cost me almost triple the price that what was originally agreed in the initial reservation.Therefore, I advise anyone attending the Europcar Gatwick office to follow these recommendations: 1. Record your conversation on your phone with any attendant at this office. If the attendant complains or refuses then point them to this review and ask to speak with their manager.2. Ensure that the attendant countersigns any documents in front of you before leaving the counter. If the signature looks similar to the one I have posted on the Google review then I advise requesting a manager or another attendant to complete the rental agreement.3. Cross out any inclusions that are not agreed to and take a photo of the main rental agreement and the back page that list additions so it can’t be changed afterwards.4. Finally, please post your review of this office so that others can be informed of this fraudulent behaviour, and the individual perpetrators are held accountable.Europcar: If this review means that customer check-in at the Gatwick office takes far longer than any other office then you only have yourselves to blame. I have called customer service on multiple occasions with no action being taken. I have also sent multiple emails that all have been ignored now for over 3 months, which is well over the cited 7-10 days reply time that is promised. You will find the ignored case number as #21259873. I request that a refund be issued for these unauthorised charges and that this fraudulent behaviour of Europcar staff is prevented from occurring any further, especially by the individual that signed this document. If you want to show any endeavour to remain a reputable company then I expect a prompt reply to this review via my email which you have on file. My previous experiences with Europcar have all been positive but this is appalling. It is also worth checking that in all my other rentals I have never requested insurance and I never will. Please check your records to confirm this.

After an awful experience with green motion last weekend in Edinburgh Airport where they refused to give us our car that we already paid for we went back to the car rental department and got a lovely girl Rebecca in European who went over and above to help us out and managed to find us another people carrier at such short notice. She was so helpful and kind. We had absolutely no problems leaving the car back either and got our full deposit back straight away. Thank you so much will definitely use them again.

The nicest operative we have ever had at Europcar at Gatwick South terminal yesterday morning. A lady called Leah. She was so efficient and helpful, and didn't try to sell us extra insurance and upgrades! More people like her needed, Europcar.Thank you for our pleasant rental experience, Leah.

ZERO STARS GIVEN

ZERO STARS GIVEN - NOT ONE! Bought a car battery in September, recently started to lose power. Car broke down, had to call AA & buy a new battery. Rang these Europarts clowns, who stated dont give refunds on batteries as they degrade!. Advised for me to take to Europarts who may give a replacement. Told the genius, I dont need a new one as Ive already got a new one!. Woman on the phone, doesnt know the job, just making excuses! . Dont use this Crpy company, they just rip you off with crpy goods!. Avoid at all cost!

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever! Firstly they cancelled delivery of my car hire 45 mins before it was due to be delivered. I had to drive and collect another car. The car was due to be collected on Friday and at 9.05pm on Friday I get told it will not be collected via text - no communication over the weekend. I have contacted the branch today (Tuesday) and it should be collected today, again no communication, no apology. Shocking customer service when you go through. I wouldn’t recommend this company
