Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service. We queued for ages at airport for the car. We had a lovely lady help us. We were given a brand new Jeep (what we ordered) but on going to the collection point we were overlooked, waited ages and given a badly dented Ford Puma. We showed the paperwork which had the new Jeep showing. This was taken off us and simply changed to the Puma. We said it was not the car and were rudely told to go back to the reception if not happy which would have been another 30 minutes at least. We complained during the hire, after the hire, chased and chased. We did a trustpilot review and Europcar seemed to take interest and asked us to send in details again (to the same original address) We heard nothing again until today( well over a week later) from the Italian branch stating that the Jeep was the same category as the Puma. There was no recognition of the rudeness of the staff on collection in Italy and no understanding that we were allocated a new Jeep and ended up with a damaged Puma - not acceptable.

Rubbish company - DO NOT USE

Someone damaged my car and I was told I was a courtesy car from this company while my car was being repaired. The repair was organised and I was promised I would have a vehicle on Tuesday at 11 o’clock. I was phoned by the Glasgow branch at 9 o’clock the morning that the vehicle should have been delivered and was told it would be 48 hours that I would need to wait before they could get a vehicle. I said this wasn’t good enough. After spending all day on the phone with various people I eventually got a car at 6 pm. I contacted Euporcar to have the hire vehicle returned yesterday - Thursday - I was promised someone would pick it up at 9 o’clock this morning. At 10 o’clock I was told someone was on their way to pick the hire vehicle back up. My home is 15 minutes from their depot. Three and a half hours later I contacted the company to be told it’s between 9 am and 5 pm. To say they are having a laugh is an understatement - who has all day to wait about for a company to pick up a vehicle If they had no intention of picking up the vehicle don’t inform customers you are on the way to get the car. I would have given the company no stars but there isn’t an option. The Glasgow branch seem to have a problem contacting customers and giving updates on what is happening and wasting people’ valuable time. Obviously customers don’t matter.

Customer services never answer emails.

Despite loads of emails customer services do not answer. The stock reply on here is to email them, don’t bother they don’t answer. They only owe us £19.99 but they don’t seem to want to even acknowledge it. Also emailed CEO, nothing. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

After renting from Sixt and Hertz for many years (attaining Diamond and Platinum status respectively) I switched to Europcar and have clocked up nearly a thousand rental days over the past five years. The Manchester Airport location offers a consistently superior level of service, and on the rare occasion where any small problems arose, super efficient manager Sharon Sosa instantly solved them. A big thank you to Sharon and all the staff at Manchester Airport!

Appalling and dangerous service from…

Appalling and dangerous service from Nottingham branch. Refusal to apply for a Crit- air certificate when the car was on hire to take to France , causing all drivers vulnerable to a fine. The hirer was unable to do it because Europa Car refused to supply V5 info due to DPA/GDPR and the. Refused to do it , initially suggesting hire cars were exempt!Also all numbers supplied for breakdown were obsolete- printed on a 5 year old print out from 2019. Dangerous and negligent conduct - left stranded no numbers to contact emergency breakdown with disabled elderly grandmother . Please checked any info you get from the only use them as a last resort. Forcing drivers to no comply with French driving requirements is appalling. Let alone negligent breakdown info. Is this cost cutting or incompetence? Either way , it’s the hirer who is left to pick up the pieces. No where near good enough for such a large company.

I used priceline to secure a car rental…

I used priceline to secure a car rental through europcar. Due to airline delays we were unable to pick up the car until the next dayWhen we went up to the europcar rental desk at Manchester airport and explained the situation, they said the rental had been canceled. I had prepaid the rental through priceline, it was non-refundable. I had several appointments to keep and needed a car. I was unable to contact priceline about the situation. I ended up renting from europcar, because the other rental places didn't have a vehicle available. I think that europcar car were completely outline and they should have honored the reservation Good customer service always brings customer backI will not use europcar again. I recommend all other travelers to be aware of their sly, possibly underhanded business practices I will be contacting priceline upon return to the US. Europcar uk, responded to the above review of their service by giving me am email address. If they were really interested in helping. They would have looked up my name in their records. The email address is generic and does not give me a person to contact. Probably generated using AI

This company are realy dishonest

This company are realy dishonest. Please dont use them. Got home after rental and was charged for an upgrade i had no idea i had and some strange charge for getting a special pick up point. Literally had no idea. Customer service since is attrocious. Seriously. Do Not Use Them!

Customer service absolutely horrendous

Customer service absolutely horrendous, I had a van booked 10 days before i needed it and then emailed me two days before to say it was not available at 8pm, no help at all other than we will process a refund to you which they were not supposed to have taken unless confirmed. totally S..t customer service leaving me very stressed trying to get another van with two days notice. FU..ING pissed of with them.
