Same issue as others. Tickets they sent don't actually show where the event is. I tried to contact eventbrite and they only have AI support. That's not helpful at all. Then message the organizer. Some scam dude who hasn't replied and the event is in 20 mins. I'll likely just dispute the charges with my credit card. Save your money and book with the venue.
with a false Eventbrite listing! Booking an Eventbrite event, (1Oct2024) I was shocked to discover without giving personal details, a ticket would not be issued!THIS IS THE REQUESTED COMPLUSORY DATA: Home address, work address, job title, company name, gender, work and home number in addition to email address (Why are these needed? I wonder what the organizer intends to do with this data? Why isn't an email address suffice?)THIS IS THE EVENTBRITE LOCATION:74333 London 00200 (No lie! That is the event listing address) AND CLICKING THE EVENT LOCATION MAP GOES TO:52 Guild Street, London EC2A 4LR. This postcode is for Tabernacle Street in London EC2. Google map was unable to locate 52 Guild Street in EC2ORGANIZER'S CONTACT EMAILA disposable gMail with an added affiliate link. Reporting this lisiting to Eventbrite, stating it is a data gathering listing, an automated webpage said: 'Report This Event | We have flagged this event for investigation. If you provided contact information, we MAY follow up with you as needed.' (Note the word MAY which doesn't give much confidence that it will be taken down)
Eventbrite states the International Festival in Raleigh tickets are only refunded via the organizer, but they claim they don't know who that is. If you Google it, it says International Focus, Inc. coordinates the International Festival of Raleigh. If you call them they state they are no longer involved with that event. Eventbrite then said to reply to their original confirmation, which I did, and then they sent a response telling me, basically, "Too had, s sad". Then I contacted Josh Stein's office (AG of NC) who told me I need to contact NCVibes.com. I'm waiting to hear from them, but, regardless, Eventbrite sucks. And their few is non-refundable.
Eventbrite are scammers and don't try to help customers get their money from false advertised events in THEIR website. I bought tickets for an event and it got rescheduled twice at short notice, I don't live in the area and had to travel into London both times to be told it was rescheduled. There was an option to request a refund on the website and when I tried to request, it said that apparently this doesn't meet the criteria for a refund. If you are booking events through Eventbrite, please please please try and book through another platform as you risk losing your money with no refund.
Oh my God, I wish I had seen these one star reviews before I booked a very expensive venue for my friend and myself. I have proof of payment and Hope they will honour it. Never again, they must have an apprentice on their website. Eventbrite you really take the joy out of en'joy'ing oneself. Just Avoid.
Paid for two tickets, they're not on any email or the app due to the total incompetence of this company to sort their technical issues. All they can say is 'contact the organiser' when it's Eventbrite that's at fault. What a complete joke.
