Too glitchy, would not recommend to buy fairphone 6.

It turns off or gets stuck quite often in my bag, after I took photos and put it there. Most of all, after it all photos which 8 did before disappeared (((, it happened already a few times.Since I like to take photos when a walk outside or travelling it's very critical for me.

Also, application search is glitchy. When I want to open, for example Google wallet and search for it and tap on it, it sometimes opens application which was in the same place before search, it's very annoying when I need to do something quickly (((

Also camera is not good, sometimes photo is too write...

I only like screen unlock button and also security protective screen.

A great product unlike any other on the market. I have a Fairphone 5 and I am very pleased with it. It far surpasses my former Samsung Galaxy. Especially when it comes to durability. I have had it for a few years now and I have dropped it many times (as you do) and the screen doesn't have more than a few, barely noticable scratches. My former Galaxy had cracked its screen more than once by now and cost me a lot every time.

I also had a Fairphone 2 years back which I admit I absolutely hated, but they have resolved all those issues now and it is just a great phone now.

Frustrating Experience with Battery Replacement

I find it absurd that they produce a phone with a unique battery that can only be sourced from the company. The battery is essential for the phone's functionality; without it, the device is worthless. My attempts to replace a failing battery have been met with incompetence, and there seems to be no alternative for assistance. I've been waiting for months for a resolution. The replacement battery I ordered from their site was defective. Interacting with the support system feels like navigating through a minefield! Satisfactory experience with a repairable device

I recently bought a new phone, and to be honest, it's quite good. I appreciate the self-repair feature. However, the battery capacity was somewhat lacking. I ended up purchasing a new battery and managed to disable all background app usage while keeping an 80 percent charge, which has made a significant difference.

Extended warranty promises are misleading

It appears that the company is struggling with growth. There's little point in having the touted extended warranty if no one responds to your inquiries for weeks or even months. Calling isn't an option, and I've been ignored everywhere. The quality of support is far below acceptable; they simply do not listen. My family has four of these devices. They work fine until you face even a minor issue, and then you're left on your own. As an update, I created a support case a month ago, and I still see no progress. I'll update this review once my support ticket is resolved.

An unreliable device with frustrating support

An unreliable device and frustrating customer support. I was willing to invest more for a more ethical and eco-friendly phone, which was supposed to last longer due to its replaceable parts and extended updates. Unfortunately, my phone kept freezing completely for several days. I reverted to my old device since I needed reliability while coordinating care for my father with advanced dementia. After his passing, I had more time to address the issue. The company's email responses took weeks, and the repair process was convoluted and lengthy. I finally sent it off, but it returned with no issues found. It seemed none of my original problem description made it to the repair team. I waited a couple of weeks to see if it worked, then switched the SIM and spent days setting it up. It functioned for a month before freezing again two days ago. A new phone is arriving tomorrow, but setting it up will be a hassle since the current device is still frozen, making data transfer difficult. I won't be purchasing from this company again anytime soon.

Great idea, but frustrating execution

The concept is fantastic. The phone looks impressive, and you feel good about supporting positive change. However, this is the fifth device we've had in our home. Under a year old, it's had ongoing call and battery charging issues, and the warranty process is frustratingly circular. Nearly all our devices have faced similar issues, and repairs often require sending them overseas, leading to further complications (we've had non-functioning devices returned as 'working'). I attempted to buy a USB-C cable during a sale to fix my current phone. The website was uncooperative, and the checkout process was a hassle. It's disappointing dealing with a company that seems to profit from such cycles, and after years of hoping for improvement, we’re still struggling with repairs we shouldn't need. Enough. Edited to add: The company's response about not finding our case highlights the ongoing frustration; we must surely be in their system! 🤔

Great to replace parts affordably

I appreciated being able to replace a part at a low cost without needing to buy a new phone. Additionally, it arrived quickly, which minimized the inconvenience of being without a device.
