I currently have Farmers and the corporate side is terrible. Bills and policies are not comprehensible. Fees are hidden. Accounting makes no sense. Lots of fine print Agent will not disclose even if asked. Higher Auto rates than other insurers. Don't give them your credit card number! You have to request any refund you are owed, otherwise they keep it.
If I could leave negative stars I would. My house caught on fire January 2, 2025 here we are 3 months later and I am still trying to get my money back from Farmers. They left me in a cold dark house and would not return my phone calls or texts. I had to clean up my own fire damage and call an emergency contractor to come out and board up the hole in the house. I wasn’t even offered a hotel. I had to continue to call and text the adjuster to get a hotel as I had to sleep on somebody’s couch the first night. Their initial offer to fix my fire damaged home that was caused by GE repairman was to offer me $1500 plus a possible recoveryOf another 2300 once I proved I paid for all the repairs. I had to hire a public adjuster which then turned into Farmers adjuster Matt Craft, calling and threatening me and trying to use strong arm tactics to get me to settle immediately. Now here we are over two months later and Farmers is refusing to subrogate with GE, they’re refusing to pay me back any of my out-of-pocket expenses or time . Even After they refused to help with any cleanup, but yet said they were going to kick me out of the hotel if I didn’t get back in the house so I had to spend 49 of my own personal hours cleaning fire damaged walls, furniture, floors, ceilings, and I had to arrange all the contractors to come out and give bids and make repairs and pay all of that out of my own pocket. Delay , defer, deny that is absolutely Farmers method. They did not for one second care about me, my animals, or my daughter and they absolutely just use strong arm tactics to pay as little as possible. Matt Craft the adjuster is a flat out liar and I continue to have to provide text and phone conversations to prove that he’s lying to try to get my money back after I’ve paid a policy and this fire was no cause of my own. Pretty bad when GE‘s insurance company is calling me weekly to let me know that Farmers still won’t contact them to subgrogate the claim.I would never recommend Farmers to anyone , they will lie and deny to save every penny they can.
I had Farmers Flood Insurance and in 2024 in Florida my house literally flooded from a major storm which my policy said I was covered for and after adjuster visited and saw the damage and photos showing water damage they denied my claim because “2 acres or more were not flooded”. Wtf. No where in my policy did it say anything about 2 acres. This is criminal. 2 other Companies named Fire Insurance Exchange and Pilots Claim Service were also part of this organized criminal insurance network. They throw 10 different agent names and 3 different companies at your claim and they all deny knowing anything about the other companies or about your claim when you call. This country needs to take a stand against these organized criminal insurance companies. Our politicians need to take action and create policies that prevent this organized crime against us. If we actually had enough attorneys and politicians with actual working consciences this country wouldn’t be the disgusting wealth disparaged travesty it has become. It has come to the point that we have to defend ourselves from the people and companies we hire to protect us (insurance and attorneys). Sad but if you have the means to dispute these thugs do it. Don’i be like me and roll over and take it.
LaToya Nicole Terry is an unprofessional employee. Her client was completely at fault in the accident, yet she was impossible to reach. Calls to her went unanswered, and no replacement car was provided. On top of that, she forced us to fill out forms that should have been handled by the Body Shop. The Body Shop staff yelled and argued with her, but nothing changed. She eventually stopped responding to calls altogether, ignoring us entirely. As a result, I’ve been without a car for a week. This level of service is unacceptable and beyond frustrating.
I was in a minor automobile accident June 6, 2022. Irma Ashton has been my Farmers Insurance Agent for about 29 years. My first call was to her, then to the claims agent who was not very good at following up with me. So I spoke to her Supervisor, Julie Morcos. OMG, this lady is AMAZING. She either answered each call I made or same day returned my call. And I have to admit I was not at all the easiest person to deal with. I was very upset that from a very minor accident the plaintiff felt she hit could easily walk away with a huge settlement. Absolutely ridiculous. Over the last 2 &1/2 years Julie has been more than patient spending literally hours explaining the step by step process. She is not only professional, knowledgeable, and so kind. When we end the call, I genuinely feel she really cares and I am not just another client. She is such an asset to Farmers Insurance. If Farmers acknowledges superior customer service, she should receive the employee of the year award.
A friend had Farmers home insurance and needed repairs due to damages. Neftali Rodriguez was the adjuster and referred a contractor who wrote questionable invoices, and Neftali was in agreement with it. When they tried to talk to Neftali’s boss, she was also on Neftali’s side. Be careful with Farmers Ins., the insurance adjuster named Neftali and wrongful claims on invoices. They all work together and do not support you as the client.
YOU HAVE TO LOVE THE WAY YOU GET WHEN SOME ONE HITS YOUR BIKE UP AND YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET YOUR OWN SHIT FIXED AND PAY FOR EVERY THING LIKE STORAGE AND GETTING A ESTIMATE OF DAMAGE TOOK 3 MONTH FOR JUST THAT NOW IT CAN TAKE UP TO 3 YEARS BEFORE I EVEN HEAR WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN OR IF I WILL EVER SEE ANY MONEY !!!!!!!!!!SO IF YOUR NOT HALF DEAD OR LOSE OF LIMBS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT YOU WILL RECESSIVE NO HELP FROM ANY ONE NOT TIM MISNEY NOT ANY ONE THEY ARE OUT FOR THEM SELVES AND WE GET screwed EVERY TIME ....SO FAR IM OUT 1000 DOLLARS AND THE BIKE I JUST GOT DONE FIXING ,,I HAVE A ESTIMATE FOR 10,000 IN DAMAGE AND FARMER INSURANCE WANTS TO GIVE ME 3000 FOR THE BIKE AND I HAVE OVER 7000 IN IT AS OF TODAY ,,,,,,,,,,,, SO NO I WILL NOT TAKE THAT SHIT ,,,,,,,,INSURANCE IN A SCAM ALL THEY DO IS STEAL YOUR MONEY AND THEN REFUSE TO PAY OUT WHEN IT COMES TO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got sucked into one of those FB ads about getting cheaper insurance. I filled out the same form 20 times and was sent a Farmers quote that seemed reasonable, $200 less than current. I had Gainsco. I signed with them, but it was only a 1 month discount, because they keep demanding copies of my previous insurance. I sent them, but it wasn't sufficient, since my Truck which was not running for 2 years was not insured. I was not going to pay $500 a month just for the truck if it was not running. Cannot deal with them. My car was stolen and I called in today to speak with them, and got more smart assed crap. As soon as I can, I am switching companies.
