I strongly advise against this. They enroll you without your consent and impose charges for a premium subscription, making it difficult to cancel or receive a refund if you discover the charge after 30 days. It's a useful tool, but the customer service and sales tactics are very disappointing.
The issue lies in the low price of the device, but there's an additional £99 subscription fee for the app. The support team mentioned I could return the device upon delivery, allowing me to reject it for a refund. However, it was simply delivered through my letterbox, leaving me no option to refuse it. After that, the support team stopped replying to my emails. I also saw that the automatic confirmation emails had a link for a return label, but stated, "We currently do not support international returns." I'm back to square one. I don't want the device, yet they're obstructing my attempts to get a refund. I'm still within the 30-day money-back guarantee period.
I purchased a device for my personal use and attempted to download the app online. While filling out my information, everything appeared to be legitimate. However, once I entered my credit card details, the site was flooded with ads. Shortly after, I noticed unauthorized charges on my card and had to contact my bank to cancel it. It seems like the app page may have been compromised, but I'm not certain.
I wasn't informed that the subscription would renew automatically, resulting in a $100 charge when I no longer had the equipment. I canceled the following day and requested a refund for a service I wouldn't be using, but my request was completely denied. A total waste of $100.
I really love my FIXD it has helped me so much when I walk into the mechanic shop I’m alittle more direct with the problem I’ve also found my new mechanic shop from the fix’s app MR.SINGH Lafayette service center Hawthorne nj he’s the best I recommend everyone to go there friendly clean and very nice staff 🙏🏾💪🏽
Honestly, the best part is that I can manage the engine check light and save $100. I had to consider another shop because their quote was excessively high—around $1200 just to replace two air sensors. I have another shop in mind for this, so stay tuned for updates. Thanks for the help!
As others mentioned you have to be very carefull during the order process to not order the subscription. But the bigger issue is that the company has very aggressive marketing campaign in Europe but the shipping is from US and also the support is in English. Also the car manufacturers are only the ones available for the US market, like GMC, GM, etc. I bought the device because the claim was, that almost every car is covered. But in the first steps email I got the compatibility list and one of the oldest car manufacturers Opel/Vauxhall is not availiable!? Why marketing in Germany when they have only US cars? So I prompted instantly a refund but they sent the device anyway. I wrote to the support that my car is not supported and I want to stop the shipping. To my surprise when I received the device and gave it a try my car received a "generic" profile so i was able to read the sensors and check for Engine fault codes. No other ECUs can be read. I asked again for a refund and the asked for my email and Order number. After I answered there was silence. With the aggressive newsletters it felt like mobbing because they are asking constantly for feedback. So i wrote in the feedback survey the same issue and that I want a refund. But nothing happened. I ordered on 29.04.2025 and now is 30.11.2025. As far I can judge it is a simple OBD2 reader with a fancy software. But for me it is not worth it because it can read only Engine fault codes.
