Ordered a "blackout" blind advertised as "blackout". It took months to arrive, was constantly delayed, and when it arrived - it has dozens holes in that let light pass - lighting up the entire room. Do not buy form here.
Review of our recent purchase of a double sliding insect screen. If we were reviewing the product on quality alone it would undoubtedly receive five stars. The ordering process was also relatively straightforward, including the instruction videos on how to accurately measure the door aperture. Your final video on how to fit the finished product simplified the final stage of the order. All of the aforementioned attributes should normally ensure that we would have no hesitation in recommending your range of insect screen products. However, despite being advised that the order would be completed within a maximum set timescale of 19 working days, the completed product took almost twice this timescale.Your website order status page does not offer any information beyond the original advised delivery schedule. All email communication requesting delivery updates was instigated by ourselves. Approximately 6 Emails were sent and all emails received a response.The company seems to adopt a reactive (not proactive) communication process. With similar communication and delivery delay complaints starting to appear on the Trustpilot reviews page, we became concerned if our order would actually be dispatched. Customers understand (perhaps frustratingly) that there can be a number of reasons for delayed delivery schedules. However, the company must take a more transparent approach to keeping customers informed about delays, either through email or their website order status page. Plus, not responding to negative Trustpilot reviews will undoubtedly deter potential customers. We placed our order on 25th June 2025 and received our Fly Screen on 15 August 2025.With the exception of the delivery delay and the delivery communication process, and based on the quality of the product (which we are delighted with) we would still highly recommend purchasing from Flyscreenmaxx.
I am willing to take down this review once my issue is resolved.I purchased 2 large custom door flyscreens for a large sum on 17 June 2025 - waited 1 month for it to arrive in the UK.Upon arrival in the UK, DHL started bombarding me with demands to pay the £185 customs duty - I then tried many times to contact Flyscreenmaxx on their phones which never get answered, internet chat which takes 2 days for a reply and email which takes 3 days for a reply.They said they will.pay the customs fees but after 5 days of the delivery arriving in the UK these fees are still not paid and DHL will not release my goods.Flyscreenmaxx know this order well and I am dissapointed it has taken so long to resolve.
I suggest until I have received a reply to my question which will allow me to consider my next option (proceed with original order or re-order); prospective buyers from Flyscreen Maxx and/or Fliegengitter Maxx should procure products elsewhere as my experience of these business units is awful. Dimensions I actually wanted are correct to the size I requested. The issue is, I wanted 2 of the 3 blinds changed from Face Fit to Recess Fit. To me if at all, the only possible change would be to the corner pieces (cover) and not any change to the frame/structure and or material but doubt this would be anything major that could possibly disrupt production. The issue was communicated to Flyscreen Maxx within minutes of coming to light.Apart from initial email confirming the order and quoting "we're getting your order ready to be shipped" (how can you state you're getting the order ready for shipping when you've only just received it and it has to go through a process of production beforehand!?!); I've heard nothing back even when I've emailed them twice and tried calling 02045724771 from the website.On 01/08/2025, I resorted to contacting by email (as they also don't answer phone calls!), the German version of Flyscreen Maxx (fliegengittermaxx.de) in a bid to establish communication and to get an update on my order.Fliegengittermaxx.de have since been in contact and all of a sudden, I've received an e-mail 02/08/2025 from them stating my "order is almost complete" even though I've been trying to contact them since 11/07/2025 regarding it.Where necessary; I have within minutes, also replied to any received emails even staying in Motorway Services for up to 2 hours in anticipation of another email arriving.To me, it sounds like Fliegengitter Maxx have panicked and sent the update knowing I've been trying to get the issue resolved before going to production; this way it looks like they've been pro-active with my order!Now that Fliegengitter Max have stated that my "order is almost complete"; they have offered "an exclusive 65% discount" so I can re-order due to my "incorrect order" which I don't see why I have to re-order when I've been trying to contacted them since 11/07/2025.Update: 04/08/2025 – Customer Service at Fliegengitter Max have now decided that even though they haven’t answered my question (whether a Face Fit will fit a Recess Fit without changing any measurements (width/height/depth) and if any, what is the difference (not including the extra 35mm required for a Face Fit); they “must respectfully inform you that I (Fliegengitter Max) am unable to provide any further assistance in this regard"The dialogue will continue with Fliegengitter Maxx
After spending weeks researching fly screens and reading reviews, I decided to place an order with FlyscreenMaxx for a sliding door fly screen. I made the purchase on June 1st, with a promised delivery time of 15 working days. Note the company is based in the Netherlands, and I ordered specifically so it would arrive before a garden party.Throughout the process, I had to email the company multiple times for updates, as the order status remained stuck on "processing." While their customer services team were initially responsive and assured me the order would arrive on time, the delivery deadline came and went with no product in sight. I followed up again and received another apology, with a promise that it would be shipped that week.Now, 19 days working days later, the order still shows as "processing" and my latest email requesting a status update — and asking for a full refund if it wouldn’t arrive by the end of the week — has gone unanswered.I am very disappointed. I paid nearly £500 and have received nothing in return — no product and no recent communication. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company.UPDATE! After getting in contact with PayPal, the company messaged me to inform me it will be dispatched the following day. I have now received my order but I’m disappointed it had to come to the fact I had to raise this will PayPal before they did anything about it. Therefore, I will give it a 3 star as the product is very good but the communication and waiting time were very poor.
