I have had multiple disappointing experiences with Parts Plus, and I feel it’s important to share this so others can make an informed decision before purchasing from them.
Before Christmas, I bought AdBlue as a gift and specifically mentioned this to the staff member serving me. At no point was I informed that they have a no-refund policy on liquids. This only became apparent later, which I believe should have been clearly explained at the time of purchase.
More recently, at the end of January, I ordered another part through them. I was told it would arrive the following day around midday and that I could collect it then. I went in at approximately 3pm, only to be told the part hadn’t arrived. Despite having my contact number, nobody called to inform me of the delay. I had to make an unnecessary second trip the next day, and no apology was offered for the inconvenience or wasted time.
When I collected the part, I specifically asked whether it could be returned if it remained unopened and unused. I was clearly told this would not be a problem. However, when I later attempted to return it—just 12 days after purchase—I was told it could not be accepted because it had been specially ordered. When I challenged this, the explanation then changed to a supposed 7-day return policy, which had never been mentioned previously.
Overall, the information provided by staff has been inconsistent and appears to change to suit the situation. Policies are not explained upfront, and customer service has been poor. Prices are also not particularly competitive, so I would strongly recommend shopping around before buying from Parts Plus.

Parts Plus serviceRang up Parts plus for a part for a customer on 2nd December 2024 to be told be delivered 5-7 working days waited 7 days not part arrived, rang them back to find out where it is to be told i got told wrong parts coming from Germany takes 7 - 10 days so 10th day came no part rang them again and got told its left Germany so be another 3-5days after that time waited no part arrived rang back to be told don't know when it will arrive and couldn't give a time scale when it could be. Asked to speak to manger didn't care less not even a sorry i had been told these different days and sorry for how long you have waited. This isn't the first time it has happened to us. we run a MOT & Service center we tell the customers what Parts Plus tells us and were the ones dealing with the customer to try and repair the cars as soon as possible for them.
My partner rang and ordered some MK3 focus centre caps for alloy wheels from parts plus in Warrington. We were quoted a price when we first inquired and were given a price of £6.06 each.We then rang again on Thursday to confirm they still had stock and re confirm the cost. We explained we would be there on Saturday to collect.Arrived on Saturday and the price had increased to £6.92 each. When I asked for an explanation I was told there had been a price increase ? !!! 14.5% !!! IN 3 DAYS !!!They could not care less, no apology so we took our refund and left, would NEVER use this company again for Ford parts. And it is strange because as a company you don't know who you are taking to. My partner is a director for the Ford RS owners club, the biggest Ford RS owners club in the world with members all across the UK and Europe and as far as America and Australia. I myself am the senior registrar for the same club and deal with every kind of Ford RS, yes even the one that sold for over half a million pounds only last year. But hey, who cares about customer service and what extra business some customers who are only spending a few pounds could put your way !Your loss Parts Plus. not ours :)
Salisbury parts plus van ,driver face down while driving while on his mobile ,through Bridgwater , even though he had one attached to the dashboard of the van .Contacted the company - no response,Obviously not interested in the slightest about their dangerous drivers .Reading other reviews regarding their drivers I am not surprised in the slightest,I would not use this company.
There was a van (partsplus.com) van reg LC22EFW, driving in front of me today nort on north circular Rd, next to IKEA, driving like a nutcase, changing lanes randomly without indicating, and cutting other road users with very little room, I've never seen anything like it..Terrible
Ordered a dpf pressure sensor - they ordered a oxygen sensor - Called them to solve it - they ordered the sensor and said next day will arrive - now I called they said it will day 3 days to arrive ? Customer wants the car done - I paid for the part - now just speaking to them they going to call me back - haven’t a clue - don’t buy a Ford or any parts - completely useless
Parts plus Alperton is the worst ever experience in car parts shopping that you can have. Absolutely awful customer service with no respect to customer. The staff are totally not professional and don't have enough knowledge about the parts. They ordered the wrong part twice costing me a fortune with the mechanic. There's no manager in the branch to complain to. Avoid at all cost.
