i was looking forward to using my Smart box gift of "burger and a beer"but turned out to be a very embarrassing situationWe went into Wings Gourmet burger on O Connell st Validated the voucher via app and even had the voucher .. 1st off the waitress didn't recognize the voucher ...She said that they didn't do them as it was Different"WINGS" that take them , after i showed her the app and their store on it , she said to go ahead and order!!After we ordered she then again siad , "no not at this store"She went off again and asked someone, and came back and embarrassingly asked how much we paid for the voucher !My partner who was with me and had bought voucher for me had to tell her in front of me the value of the voucher !We were then informed we could have a burger and a beer only ...no chips!we would have to pay for chips separate , i informed her it does include chips as i had seen it on the app listed somewhere , she waited while i looked , and asked do we just want one chips but we would have to pay for the chips ....it was getting silly and embarrassing at this stage , i told her yes we would pay for the chips but i would keep looking for where it states that chips are included I found where it was listed while she was gone , but she did come back and tell us that she would include the chips at this stage ...i showed her with it was stated on app that chips were included ....I initially emailed Smartbox the above text ....no reply!I messaged them on Facebook with above text and told them i had sent an email , they replied and apologized and to confirm email address and they would get back to me ..confirmed email .....they didnt get back to me!Sent them 2nd message on FB , siad they still hadn't revived email , even though i emailed full message again above ..and yet again to confirm email and an agent would get back ...no reply ,i guess they hoped i would just go away i presumephilip
Bought an Ultimate Time Together Smartbox gift from a group of us for our friends ruby wedding. Easy to purchase. Chose the email version rather than the actual box as easier to forward to them. Used a discount code so felt we got a really good deal. They have lots of choice within a two year period to use and should the 995 options not be enough they can change to use on the main site with thousands more options. They are delighted with the gift and are looking forward to choosing their treat(s).Would certainly use this again - especially for my hard to buy for folk.
I've used Buy a Gift lots of times now. Of course you always need to read small print and restrictions but both bought and used lots of vouchers. Only negative is paying on website had lots of issues trying to complete payment but when I called the helpline they honoured all voucher codes.
The box looks nice and so does the website. Unfortunately, it is impossible to find any available hotel. Despite using the website and dates that look 'available' on the website, the activities keep sending 'no availability' responses to our requests. This means that only lowly rated hotels look available... Then, it is impossible to find an email for customer service at their website. There is a telephone number, but this is about it.Disappointing. I was expecting more. If they improve the synchronisation of the website with the availability of properties, this would improve the rating.
I bought the birthday smart box for a friend. It was easy to order and was delivered within a day or two. The range of choice that this gift gives is amazing and my friend was very pleased with it. Shie is going to look closely at all the experiences she can choose from - there are so many that she is spoiled for choice.
