Libby is absolutely amazing! She always works with me and truly understands how to push me in the best way. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in thanks to her, and she’s made me actually look forward to working out — something I never thought I’d say! She’s so kind, knowledgeable, and motivating. Every session is personalized, challenging, and fun. I can’t recommend Libby enough — she’s the real deal!
I’ve been training weekly with Libby since New Years’ or thereabouts. Great experience in that she’s tailored the approach to my body type, age, and goals. We are doing a Jane Fonda style full-body workout, and I can testify to these results: my energy levels are up, my productivity at work rose, and my posture and balance have improved. I took a new height measurement during a physical and found that I’m even standing about half an inch taller than usual. Wow!
I can’t say enough good things about Libby! She is thoughtful, engaging, knowledgeable, and very creative. The work outs are efficient and never boring. I have progressed a bunch and achieved my goals with her guidance. I always look forward to the sessions and can feel continuous improvement.
A few months ago, I decided to really focus on my health and get back on track. After a little bit of research, I decided I needed to go somewhere that could help me find a good routine from a previous injury I got in the gym 10 years ago. Working out has been difficult for the past few years but after a few months of going to basics and beyond, things have changed for me! I have been working out with Libby and she is amazing! Her workouts are challenging, fun, and different than anything I would do on my own. I feel like her workouts are worth every penny. Not only are the workouts great but she always makes me feel comfortable. It was very important for me to become confident and comfortable in the gym and working with Libby has helped me achieve that. I feel like I am also learning so much about working out and how to move your body to prevent injuries. Also, Dan is awesome! I was having a bit of back pain coming up (due to a previous injury) and he had been working with me to alleviate the pain. I feel like everyone at basics and beyond really cares about their clients. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful place to help me get my health back on track. Thank you Dan and Libby
Korab is really great. He works with my schedule which fluctuates pretty often, and is always patient and personable when we meet. My major goals this spring are to be more consistent, especially now that my schedule with work has settled out. Korab and I have scheduled times for next week when I am back from out of town, and I’m very excited to get back into things. He really is an exceptional trainer—I didn’t realize I didn’t know the best ways to stretch. He’s a credit to Dan’s organization. Dan is also a star in this review—he checks in on the clients working with trainers, and ensures everyone is getting exactly what they need to lead a healthy, more fulfilling life. I am immeasurably appreciative of his efforts and can’t wait to see my progress over the next year.
Libby was exactly what I needed to get back into working out! She makes our workouts fun, yet challenging. When we started, we set goals and she catered the workouts to my fitness level. Each week she increases my challenge and notes how much I’ve progressed. Libby has made it fun and easy to make working out a priority!
I am so happy I found Dan, he is just the person I’ve needed to help get my health on track. He is very easy to talk to and has great tips. He meets you where you’re at and is all about sustainable changes over time. With him as a nutrition coach and Nathan as a personal trainer, I’ve lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks- without crazy fads or crash dieting. I feel so encouraged by Dan, his team, and the progress I’ve made already with their help and look forward to continue working with them towards my goals!
I cannot recommend Basics and Beyond as a nutritional consultant and personal training service more. Dan and Nathan listened first, then formulated a plan to help me get control over my eating and my health without making me feel ashamed of being a larger person. In a little over 2 months I am down over 30 pounds. Candid conversations and prescribing personalized feedback have made all the difference in my success.
