Review Time
This place is terrible. Seriously, we went there on cold January evening and we waited 90mins outside. We were told we would have to wait for 15mins initially. However, after 30mins I was beginning to lose my patience and asked the staff, she replied that they are prioritising other people. Their food was bland and tasteless. YOU ARE BETTER OF GOING IN MCDONALDS!
This restaurant used to be so nice in food and service but today we were so shocked with quality of the food which was served cold ,too salty and greasy . Staff not speak English and needed to wait for long time to get simple things such as cutlery also not respectful . I will not come here anymore . Waste of time and money .
I visited the Chingford branch for my sister's Birthday, and the meal and service was excellent. Although they were very busy the food came hot, was very tasty, and of good quality. All of my family members were impressed. I would highly recommend. One of the best Turkish restaurants I have visited.
I've always had a pleasant experience at this restaurant (Chingford branch). My friends and I have made it a tradition to visit this place each year. The food is delicious (my faves are the ribs and also their sea bass) and the customer service has always been good considering there is always a large group of us who go each time! I'm actually shocked to see so many bad reviews on here as I've never encountered a problem. I'd say go to the Chingford branch if you want to have a good time!
Hi, I placed an order last Friday. Food was never delivered to me. The driver went to the wrong place, claiming I provided the wrong address, which I used previously and no one had any problems and all orders were always on time. The driver called to confirm the address and I said where I live, and he said he knows where is that. Guess what you can track drivers and see how they move. The driver spent like 25 min in 1 place ( looks like he met someone and had a chat)and then he passed by my house without stopping and went all the way back to the restaurant. I tried to call the restaurant, but it was useless. I was shocked at how the manager handled the situation. He said they are not dealing with deliveries and I can contact Just It. He can see the driver was back with my food and NO replacement was offered or redelivery. The guy on the phone said he does not care and I can place another order if want and that I DO NOT understand how they work. I tried to explain that choosing the correct partners is their responsibility because it has an impact on the food which was cooked by the restaurant. Well, I spent 10 years in hospitality, working in a 5 * hotel (restaurant) so I would never say to my clients that there is no other option. We would always try to find a solution. The manager just said that there is nothing that they can do. If you think to support some businesses during the lockdown, I would not do it to Gokyuzu Walthamstow, because they just do not care about their clients. Contacting Just It did not help either. They promised to investigate and come back to me within 48 hours, which was never done. I contacted them again and now they asked 72 hours more to investigate. I want my money back. Because now it is appearing on my account that food was delivered, which was NOT. and Money has gone.
VERY GREEDY MANAGER - Forced me to order adult meal for infant. So I cancelled the booking.I went to book for 35 people. 23 Adults, 4 infants, 4 under 4 years, and 4 under 12.But they manager said this is their company policy to buy full adult meal for each infant, and toddlers. They said they can not compromise.I told them why should I order full meal for infant.. the manager replied this is their company policy. If I dont want then I have to cancel the booking so I did so.
Gokyuzu Walthamstow branch is let down to the other branches.We went there on Saturday 24/05/19 for a friend's baby shower as some guests were still arriving we were told we need to leave as the table was booked.We requested for another table and the manager was so rude and said we need to leave so we requested for another table as about five of us had not yet eaten.He was so unprofessional and rude and such a let down to the staff who were very helpful.We went outside to wait for the rest who had to come after work so they could eat and the restaurant was half empty.We sat on the tables outside and ordered food for the rest of the group.We felt so humiliated by this manager who kept hovering around us we ignored them and continued enjoying our food and drinks.Gokyuzu on the A406 is definitely much better.Go to Walthamstow at your own peril.
