I don’t like that there is a $20 minimum to transfer money over and I don’t like the fees. I set up these cards for my eight year old and six year old so that it would be easy to transfer money that they earn and for them to learn money management skills. It hasn’t been as seamless as I had hoped.
I really like this app a lot and the ability to introduce kids to investing and financial education is great. However, it is very expensive - I mean $10 a month can go a long way with investing, The monthly fee is half of my daughter’s monthly allowance. And I do think this is a bit steep.
Terrible service, said free trail 30 but still got charged. Then card doesn’t come in mail 7-19 business days.Which give you two weeks to actually use the app or card. Doesn’t give you time to actually judge the service. Customer service people rude as guy wouldn’t let me speak.hung up on me. No definitely not service id like for me and my kid
Do yourselves a favor and hire customer service people who speak English. Or some other commonly used language of the universe. I speak five languages and couldn’t understand one word the person was saying. What should have taken two minutes took over an hour. Very frustrating. I have now cancelled my card
Over 2 months ago my daughter placed and paid for an order with online store with her Greenlight card. As of the date of this review, the order has not shipped, and no tracking information has been provided.Attempts to contact the merchant have been unsuccessful. The telephone number printed on the receipt is disconnected, all associated social media accounts are closed, and no email address is provided for customer service. These facts indicate the merchant is no longer conducting business.I submitted a dispute with Greenlight on the basis of non-delivery of goods. Over two months have now passed with no shipment, no communication, and no resolution from the merchant. Greenlight still has not refunded the purchase. This experience has severely undermined my trust in Greenlight’s services and I will be cancelling our subscription once this matter is settled! Do not trust your purchases with the Greenlight card - they do not protect their customers from fraudulent merchants or non-delivery of goods!
Both of my children’s cards were frozen at the same time after my daughter tried making a $39 purchase. They’re with their grandparents and I’ve spent over 45 min trying to resolve this and I keep getting transferred…. Absolutely not acceptable especially when paying a subscription fee! Will be cancelling this service and using a different company
