Greenshield does not cover HRT! They are obviously using outdated information from the 1990's. Hormone Replacement Therapy is not a discretionary or cosmetic treatment. It is the standard medical therapy for a recognized endocrine disorder: hormone deficiency. My physician prescribed this medication to treat a clinically diagnosed condition, not to improve general wellbeing or comfort.

I truly wish my employer had selected a different provider.

Now, I've been waiting for over an hour for a representative. The person who finally answered was new and suggested I call back or check online. It was a waste of my time. He mentioned there was nothing they could do to expedite adding my son to my file, despite having provided all necessary information.
The wait times for customer service are unacceptable. Each time I call, I find myself waiting 30–40 minutes to reach a representative. I only reach out when issues can't be resolved online, yet assistance is consistently hard to obtain. Today, I've already been on hold for nearly 30 minutes. This provider has faced criticism for years regarding this issue, with no noticeable improvement. The lack of action indicates a poor commitment to customer service.
I had a very poor experience. I called to ask about our travel coverage outside of the country. After a long wait, the customer service agent spoke very broken English and was quite rude. I attempted to inquire about additional insurance costs but ultimately had to give up. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this provider.
