I took a flyer and bought both a white and black pair off of a social media ad. They arrived a couple of days later and have completely lived up to their billing. They are bare-foot comfortable with just enough cushion and protection for tender feet. Stylish enough, that in two weeks, I have had multiple strangers ask about them or compliment.
I am 69 yo and have developed a walking routine to lose some pounds. The Sketchers are comfortable and required very little breaking in. I have had them for about 10 days and find them surprising light. Thank you Sketchers for making a quality product!
First off they had an ad making it seem they had a special deal. Unfortunately I didn't check Amazon first. Their deal was $69.00. Then as I was checking out they started that deal where they say" wait!" If you order now we will give you a second pair for like $29.99. I purchase and after I decide to look on Amazon. The company has the exact shoes from this company for $39.99 each. Lame! Then i finally get the shoes. They are not at all comfortable. I tried each pair about 3 times to give them a chance. All barefoot shoes would take time to adjust to as supposedly they allow you to walk more naturally. The insides of the shoes were very rough. I could feel every seam. The shoes had no support at all and my hip and knee pain just felt worse.Next is the terrible customer service and return and refund system. For a shoe they advertised as great enough to have an original price close to $200 they offer as a refund on my great deal 15%. When I said no, that is ridiculous. They then offered 30%. That equals a whole $20. Whoopi! I wanted what every other reputable company offers in this day and age, 100% refund within 30-90 days if not 100% satisfied, and no questions asked. They may ask a reason to improve their product, but not to judge you. Of course other companies usually send you a mailing label for the return. Not Grounded Footwear Oh,no, you will pick up the tab on that as well. Horrible product. Unbearable except to walk out to the mailbox. My advice, stay far away from this company and their products.
Ever now and then, you run across a company that makes a terrific product and backs it up with world-class customer service. I bought the shoes to deal with persistent neuropathy and am thrilled to try them out. I had the opportunity to interact with customer service (Jordan) over multiple emails. I was amazed at how responsive and professional they were with clarifying emails even over the weekend. This is a great company, and it's clear that they genuinely care about their customers. Kudos and thank you!
My size 8 women's shoes were more like a size 7. So I had to return them for a size 9. Also, they are not nearly as comforable as I had thought. The toe bed is fairly narrow, and the material used is manmade and doesn't seem to give at all as it breaks into my heels. Hoping that the size 9 is a little better.
