I've been a customer for about 1.5…

I've been a customer for about 1.5 years now having first heard about Gudrun Sjoden through a Facebook Ad. Not only are the clothes colorful and comfortable they are also very environmentally friendly. Gudrun's imagination and artistry are truly national and international treasures. Keep the collections coming. Thanks for being a great brand with a lovely following.

As a plus-size woman I am grateful for the 2x sizing in as many pieces as you can especially those with Generous sizing (it helps as I am 3X.I like clothing to be loose. I have had to return several 2x pieces with generous sizing because the upper section between shoulder blades is too small. I now have to look at the sketches instead of photos to be sure the arm holes are more like kimono style so it will hopefully fit. The return process works just fine with the return slip attached to packing slip. Customer service has always been gracious and helpful. Love the designs, the colors and that I can mix and match the pieces from year to year. You can build a wardrobe to keep.

You lost me as a customer

I have been a customer for many years. I used to budget for each season. Of late, I can't find anything I want. You pick and choose which garments to carry in XXL. When I sent a message to customer service about it, they said that everything is roomy and stretchy in the xl sizes. That's not an answer. It's insulting. I need the XXL because I have large breasts. I do not want lovely, colorful clothing stretched tight across my chest. Additionally, I don't like the new jersey fabric. I have many older jersey pieces I love. The new cotton modal is insubstantial, doesn't drape properly and clings to everything. The only thing from the last two catalogs I purchased was the orange spring jacket. I really wanted the overalls, but again, no XXL. You have lost a customer.

I am more than happy

I am more than happy! I have the most fantastic clothes. Everybody loves my clothes and combination of colors. I love to choose among the blouses, tops, pants, skirts because I love colors and I love to mix them. Besides the clothes fit for all ages! I have the perfume that's is divine and all kind of accessories. I am really fortunate that my husband saw the Gudrun's advertisement in the NY Times in 2016 and showed it to me. I immediately bought my first piece and I loved it. After this, I didn't stop to buy anymore. Thanks, Gudrun, for your inspiration and love you put on your creations. I am a fan FOREVER.

I am new to GS ( 2.5 yrs)and have purchased thousands of dollars in her line.clearly I e become a fan. As I study the past productions; I can see that her quality and details have declined. I still love what I have but I may be less impulsive going forward and only purchase those pieces with the standards from her past runs. Love her colors and concepts. I can work many of them into my other favorite styles.

no replacement for torn Diane tunic

I bought a Diana tunic last year, roughly October 2019. I wore it about four times and washed carefully after each wear as it’s a silk mix fabric. On the last wear at the end of January the armpit areas tore and it was the material rotting not the seams. I reported it to Gudrun and asked for a reply paid envelope so that the tunic could be replaced. Three emails later and still no sign of the reply paid envelope and no refund nor a replacement tunic. Gudrun is hopeless. I definitely won’t be buying from them again and wished I’d saved my money

breaking the law

To add insult to injury (and to my earlier review!), company also fails to refund their original postage charge on return of goods - entire order sent back. This is against the law, have reported to Trading Standards.

Highly recommend

I have been dealing with this company for many years. I love their imaginatively designed clothing and accessories. I have never experienced the alleged £10 charge on returns. On the contrary, the after sales and customer service are excellent - whenever I ring up, the staff are always helpful. The clothes stand up to any scrutiny in respect of quality and value for money.

A great idea which needs tweaking urgently

Having initially revelled in this quirky collection of clothes, my opinion has changed over the past two years . I reordered an item in an alternative colour only to find the second of a completely different and vastly inferior cotton fabric - they have clearly changed supplier for a cheaper product , both of which were same price . The prices, despite having outsourced to India are now pretty extortionate.. dropping them off my radar from now on ... the returns service appalling .... customer services rude ( they refused to give me contact details for Head Office ). And.... in an environmentally aware world there really is no need for the chunky regular catalogues... unless requested. A great idea but sadly a company who offer very poor value for money ..... why should I have to collect from a newsagents . !!!!!!?????

This company make quirky clothes but…

This company make quirky clothes but although I love 'organic cotton' the prices are absurdly high and in photos the models are usually heavily accessorised. The returns policy which automatically deducts £10 on each item returned is something that trading standards should look into. The women manning the 'Customer Services' need training on how to deal with the public. They are brusque to the point of sheer rudeness. Not a good public profile when they are the first contact with this company.
