I was client for many years, but I am very disappointed with the drop in quality (combined with a raise in prices !!).The quality of the fabrics is specially bad. Now, even "medium to heavy weight" linen are super thin, fragile and short-lived. The knits (linen, cotton and wool) are lose, fragile, and show holes quickly despite adequate care.A cotton/linen dress and a linen tunic developed holes under the arms after less than 6 months of wear. The back-side seams of three pairs of trousers ripped, because the fabric thinned so much and so quickly. And all this by these prices !I haven't bought anything in the past year, and only a few items the year before that. The prices are not justified by the quality presented, and there are better offers elsewhere.
These are incredibly overpriced, poorly made, hideous clothes which look amazing in their catalog but aren't in the real world. The fabrics are paper thin~any thinner and they'd be toilet paper! I didn't stick around long enough to wash anything as back they went and only got a partial refund. Wretched dreck. Avoid at all costs.
I have purchased a second Von sweater ( the first one purchased in 2018)The price was about the same but on delivery to my home in England UPS charged £106 ! Last time the shipping cost was £30.00. I have taken this up with Guðrun and Guðrun to no avail. They say that last time the VAT was included and this time not which means their sweaters have increased in price dramatically! Please all UK residents be aware of the very small print and do not buy from this company . Such a pity as the first sweater was lovely.
I’ve been buying Gudrun Sjoden clothes since 2018 and I rarely buy any other brand. I’m 81 and like that their clothes are stylish for all ages. My granddaughter was thrilled to take a couple of things I was willing to part with because I ordered the wrong size. I LOVE their colors, which go with each other, so it’s easy to build a well-coordinated wardrobe. I commend the company for their environmental practices. The prices are reasonable. Shipping can be slow, but it isn’t always their fault.
Purchased two pair of shoes as a gift for a friend. After 3 weeks of not receiving them I looked at tracking and they still showed the package was overseas. I’m in the US. I had to go out and purchase a replacement gift because her birthday was in a couple days. I receive the GS order last night, 25 days later. Too late. I went to return them and found out they were final sale which I didn’t notice. They refused to even give me a credit and were flip and condescending. They blamed UPS instead of taking ownership. I complained on one of their many advertisments in the comment section, warning people their order could take almost a month to receive and my comment was deleted. Notice they don’t allow reviews on their website. Easy to stay in business when you just delete and silence any complaints. I will never trust this company nor will I support their bloviated self-impressed words with empty actions. Way to run a business GS. You must be rolling in dough like a pirate to throw away loyal customers. At least you won’t get my dough anymore. Maybe Gudrun Sjödén herself is too busy to notice what’s happening to her company. The reviews offsite aren’t so hot. Sad!
Im a loyal customer but here's the scoop: Pros: Colors, cuts, patterns are unparalleled and unique (and so easy to mix & match), sustainable fashion you can feel good about (the company is careful about environmental and labor exploitation).Cons: Customer service not good/poor. Return/refund policy is not good (you have to pay for the shipping back), there is a wait time to receive items. In particular, the quality of the leggings are not that good.
Well,After buying from this company consistently from 2005 for a few years and then stopping. I would look at the clothes as love the designs and the previous cottons in trousers, shirts and their stripey tops were good quality....NOT anymore and at the same time the customer service is appaling in Dunfermline Scotland.Ironically I am from that area but live in Northumberland, I ordered sale items 3 weeks ago, from order it took 2 weeks and is only a 2hr drive away?! When the order arrived, one item was the wrong item, someone in the warehouse had put the label for the linen shirt I ordered on to a jumper? When I called to say, of course it was now out of stock, on top of that the organic cotton trousers I ordered were sooo thin compared to old, much older trousers I still have from 2005, so thin! would rip easily, not at all as pictured on the website, not a patch on the thicker cotton they used to use?! Sooo expensive for bad quality & appaling customer service.4 weeks in now, since I've returned my item to be told they haven't even gotten to this weeks drop off of returns, be done sometime next week! WOW, so £104 in the sale, take my payment immediately, takes 2 weeks to arrive, 1 day to send and then another 2 weeks to receive my refund! Appalling Gudrun, simply appalling! I've worked in dealing with large businesses management and I would never manage an organisation like this, shame on you
From my Wife. I bought a cotton jersey printed dress in October 2021 (named Beet) & decided to handwash it rather than machine wash@40c which was stated on the label. I was shocked that a large amount of pink dye poured out in the sink, so good job it did not go in the family wash!!!!!!! This dress was made in India and obv no one in this company checks all the products for dye leakage. The dress washing label does not comply with the Consumer Goods Act and I would not recommend any of the clothing due to possible dye leakage. Customer services denied any problem with dye leakage and I told them to test the product for themselves as it was not fit for purpose. I did not want a replacement as the dress was not damaged and I had spent hours taking up the hem because it was too long. Not happy!Anne, Nottingham, UK
Terrible customer service. I ordered a gift certificate online on 12 Jan. 2022, thinking that it would arrive in time for a birthday gift on 18 January. Unfortunately, the certificate first arrived 13 days later, on 25 January. Moreover, as it wasn't possible to have it sent to my home address, I had to drive to the Bring package center to pick it up. Gudrun Sjoden's logistics are a farce!
