I have a lot of these clothes. The sweaters are good quality esp for the price. 100% natural fibers. I think a few fabrics have gotten thin and aren’t as good quality. I’ve never had a problem with an order or a return. And I’ve ordered a lot and returned a few. Love these clothes. Love this company.
I am a delighted Gudrun customer! As I live in the desert (Arizona) I can appreciate the lighter fabrics! It means that I can wear more of your colorful clothes. My aging body is not the shape it was for the first half of my adult years so I am grateful for the flowing, loose fitting dresses. I know it is impossible to please everyone, but you continue to please me! Customer service has been helpful when I needed it as well! Thanks Gudrun family!
I have been a customer for many years. I appreciate the quality of fabric, love the simple clothing designs and unique patterns. I find sometimes the sizing is tricky for my curvaceous figure. Returns/exchanges are handled quickly and easily.I love the leggings, especially the patterned ones. Her sweaters are to die for
I have been a Gudrun customer since 2017. I have always loved the colors and environmentally friendly fabrics, and receive compliments daily on my clothes. I have learned what styles work for me as a slim 6'0" person with long , and I buy accordingly; no pants, dresses almost always hit above the knee, eco-cotton requires a slip or 2nd layer. I wish the tags could be printed on or sewn in a side seam, as they are itchy and often have to be removed. The footless tights are a staple for me, but several pair have come unraveled at the bottom, usually the striped or patterned ones, so I only order solids now. I have noticed that the more recent catalogues feature younger and slimmer models, but when I first shopped with the company there were more varied body types, ages, and races, which I enjoyed. I hear of people exchanging and returning items but I think this might be minimized by using a variety of body types so customers can judge the suitability of individual garments. Personally, I love the colors and custom designs, and I will continue to wear Gudrun almost exclusively, as it suits my personality and the image I like to project. These clothes are universally appropriate for women; I hope Gudrun will continue to represent us all in her advertising.
Pros: When an item quality is high, it is amazing. The jacquard cardigans are mostly fantastic. The lightweight felted wool is incredible. I love the cotton knit tunic fabric. And the linen and linen/cotton woven fabrics are usually fantastic. The well made items are beautifully constructed (I sew).Cons: The worst finance department in the history of cyber commerce. I ordered 4 items in the sale. Only one was shipped. I noticed a month later that I was charged for all 4, and had to ask for a refund. No apology - just a terse note informing me i would receive my refund in a few days. And I have repeatedly had to have refunds corrected when the wrong amount was charged back, amongst other things. I wonder how many customers don't check? And another con - in the last 3-4 years cheaper sleazier fabrics have been used (sleazy is a weaving term and means that the threads have not been set closely enough resulting in an unstable cloth). I have sent many dresses back because my underwear is visible under them. The pants are useless for tall people. And most of the dresses are tunics on me. And the linen knit biases badly (like a cheap t-shirt from Walmart). The dresses are also increasingly resembling mumus. Will I still shop at GS? Yes, but sparingly. Mostly knitwear and the odd tunic in my favorite style.
