Shocking customer service - item arrived faulty and they made me jump through numerous hoops to prove it was broken and then won't send a replacement until I've sent the faulty unit back (having to print a label and pay for postage!!). they also take ages to reply to messages. This is not good enough.
I have a burn/reaction to the sensor. There is no way to contact the company. It seems like the really don't stand behind the product but have a great marketing program***upadate 12-Aug-2025: The skin reaction you experienced appears to be due to a sensitivity to the material used in the pod and strap…we cannot recommend continued use of the product… as your purchase was made through Amazon, we are unable to process the refund…( apologies for the delay in getting back to you), but unfortunately, we cannot intervene with Amazon…I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support…let me know if this approach works for you.THE COMPANY DELAYED REPLYING TO ME UNTIL THE AMAZON RETURN WINDOW CLOSEDDO NOT BUY THIS ITEM ANYWHERE!!
The band seems to give results that are wildly inaccurate compared to my omron BP monitor. It seems they read a lot higher (20 above) or slightly lower (10 below) this must rely a lot on the accuracy of the calibration cuff. If there was a manual way to calibrate using a better cuff that would be useful. Also it stopped working after 1 day - wouldnt charge, dead. And I have to wait 2 weeks for a refund!
Band good, app pretty good, but instructions need improving. The cuff is the only device I have that had to be turned on during charging (the LED does not illuminate if not turned on). The instructions do not mention this, giving the impression that the cuff does not work. The print size in the instruction booklet is also ridiculously small
No way to email a question or concern. No way to speak to anyone. Find my readings are frequently 20 point higher that using finger and IPhone -which correlate well with standard cuff measurement but not Hilo Band. Literature says the finger/phone method is most accurate way to get a point in time reading but want me to use the high reading to send to my Doctor. This will inevitably lead to medication. Is there a fault with the band? Cost a lot of money and I am dissatisfied.
