Great blood pressure monitor but bad customer service

Invested over £200 in this to help me monitor my blood pressure easily. It lives up to that promise but today has been a big let down with them wanting to charge for Apple Health Integration.

OMG - charging for Apple Health push.......

OMG - 2025 & these guys charge a hefty price for blood pressure monitoring, then they don't have Apple Health integration. Today they re-brand their app to HiLo..... and guess what??? They now want to charge you(although it doesn't work and crashes) to enable you to capture your blood pressure in Apple Health - come on guys, it's 2025! Surely you can be more creative with your business model, try B2B for a start!

IP68 rated Swimming capable NOT

I bought my first Aktiia Set last month , I bought the latest version which it states is IP68 rated and able to be used when swimming it wasn’t and failed immediately. I went through the system of reporting and trying all their suggestions but eventually I was told my bracelet was probably faulty and it was replaced. My second bracelet arrived and after confirming with Aktiia again went swimming , it failed again immediately but now customer service have failed to reply after 7 days . My ticket numbers are 234279 & 232700

Wanted to like this product…

I really wanted to like this product because it's such a wonderful concept and would be very beneficial. I trusted the process now for 28 days where I was prompted to re-initialize the cuff with the band. Everything went fine; however, I decided to take my blood pressure with another digital cuff. The numbers were significantly off. I accepted for a while that I had very high blood pressure. After using my previous cuff and reading it 3 times, my blood pressure was in normal range. This may work for others but the accuracy is not there for me to use it as a reliable source.

Disappointing …

This grading is based on the company’s customer service and marketing strategy. The product is only available in handful of countries. By the time one realizes that fact, the product cannot be returned because the seal of the box where the full instructions and the product itself is stored is broken. The product is never used but still no returns are accepted.

I bought the Aktiia (now HiLo) blood pressure monitor bracelet in November 2024. First off I bought the larger bracelet strap/band as i have Large size wrists. I would say that they really need to make a XL size strap/band, as even the Large band adjusted to how your supposed to wear it, it barely does up. Aside from this the Bracelet worked fine until about March 2025, then it started to have problems with connecting to the phone app for the Initialisation process. I tried everything to try and make it work, including contacting the company. Which brings me to my next problem, they are based in Switzerland I am in the United Kingdom. They don’t have a way to contact them apart from by email, which is not the quickest to try to troubleshoot your issues with their product. It kind of made me feel a bit uneasy about them resolving my problems. After several weeks of emails back and forth, with still no luck in getting the device to start working again. I decided to exercise my right to a full refund at the end of April 2025, thid process took over a month to complete and I finally received my full refund on the 5th June 2025. What I would like to see from this company, is a live chat option via the app and website, a contact phone number preferably a freephone one, a customer support centre to address customers problems. I would only consider buying another of these products from Aktiia/HiLo if they have the above things in place, and a much improved device. If I was to buy another device like this I would read as many customer reviews as possible especially the negative ones to determine people’s issues etc

Hello... it s fantastic!!!

Your BP monitor gives me peace of mind.I bruise very easy and no I am not on blood thinners or ASA, so with Hilo there is no bruising or pain.It is accurate, I do comparison with my Omron monitor. I am a former R.N.Looking forward for my Doctor to see my pressures with your monitor. No more white coat syndrome.Thank you so much for your hard work in developing this system. Yolande

Not happy with lack of accuracy

Delivery was good and setting the bracelet and the blood pressure monitor was straightforward. However, I am disappointed by the poor accuracy of the figures. I monitored my blood pressure daily on a standard monitor for 3 weeks achieving an average of 133/62. The average on the Aktiia device was 146/62. I have checked my monitor against the monitor in my local surgery and it was within 2 points on both systolic and diastolic readings. The Aktiia bracelet is a useful indicator of BP trends, but I am disappointed with the poor accuracy.
