I've accepted that this is a medical…

I've accepted that this is a medical grade device, and that, assuming initialisation is completed monthly, that the bracelet will provide more or less accurate results. From that point of view I've been happy with the device so far. A couple of minor things: I dont have a thick wrist by any means (175cm tall; 78kg weight), but the standard strap is a couple of centimetres too short. It fits for me on the last hole and I refuse to pay extra for a longer strap, so maybe change the default strap length, or offer some purchase variation for the strap perhaps for women and men?I'm also a bit puzzled by the dropouts I get with the readings overnight. I'm asleep so not sure why I often dont get a reading for 2 sometimes 4 hours overnight. Other than these relatively minor points, I'm happy with Aktiia and more reassured over my blood pressure.

Not happy with lack of accuracy

Delivery was good and setting the bracelet and the blood pressure monitor was straightforward. However, I am disappointed by the poor accuracy of the figures. I monitored my blood pressure daily on a standard monitor for 3 weeks achieving an average of 133/62. The average on the Aktiia device was 146/62. I have checked my monitor against the monitor in my local surgery and it was within 2 points on both systolic and diastolic readings. The Aktiia bracelet is a useful indicator of BP trends, but I am disappointed with the poor accuracy.

Aktiia BP Bracelet

I was pleased with the results when I first received my Aktiia Blood Pressure monitor bracelet in March 2025 .It recorded my BP as per information . Then started skipping throughout each day since . But when I check the monthly record ,, from Mar. 6 to April 9th it printed a continuous record without any skipping. The BP measurements are at least 10 mmHGs higher at my wrist than with an upper arm cuff . I also was able to sync my sports watch with my phone to take my BP. Alĺ 3 give different readings . I guess one has to always check the manual way to get a true reading . . All in all I am pleased with my Aktiia , now called Hilo .

Readings are consistently at a large…

Readings are consistently at a large degree of variance with the regular cuff monitor I currently use, which IS consistent with readings taken weekly by my GP at present. The customer service is totally inadequate :-I have been unable to successfully contact Lucy the chat bot to explain the problem and when answering the first question (which is one of five!) no more questions appear to complete my initial contact for a return and refund. The product also comes in a tape sealed box and the seal informs you it can only be returned if the seal on the box is intact, so I can not request a return label either! In desperation I have asked my credit card company for a charge back.

Unable to connect

Unable to connect, continually put through to Lucy the bot which is of no help. Customer service don’t get back so I have no faith in the reliability of its measurements.

I found this device to be most…unreliabe

I found this device to be most unreliable. It consistenlty over-estimated the systolic pressure and under estimated the diastolic pressure in comparison with a conventional BP measuring device. It also failed to distinguish between periods of reduced BP as a consequent of taking medication and then more elevated BP periods following withdrawal of medication.

Overpriced

Overpriced! Only works when using WiFi and doesn’t always monitor BP 24hrs.

I've had the bracelet for a little over…

I've had the bracelet for a little over a month now and I'm very happy to have bought it. It's been tracking my blood pressure which corresponds well with the readings of the 24 hour monitor from my doctor. The app changed automatically from Aktiia to Hilo without any issues and continues to take readings as before.I'm very happy with it and can easily recommend to anyone considering it.

First rate BP monitor.

I purchased my Aktiia BP monitor following a posterior stroke caused by high blood pressure. I have found it easy to use and it enables me to check and monitor my BP daily. This enables me to identify any issues. I have found it to be reassuring, as has my wife. It is easy to wear so much so that I can forget about it. There is an App that is downloaded onto your phone which allows the recordings to be made and then stored. I am not the most Tech savvy person but I have managed to use the system without any issues. There is now a revised version that is more waterproof which would have been the only issue that I would have raised. Admittedly it is pricey and only records BP and heart rates but it is effective and reliable which is surely what matters!
