A very nice device, works well, helps me to monitor my bp with much less fuss. Only issue is : the product is still exhibiting some offgassing after a couple of months. For me, this is not unusual with new electronics and perhaps straps. So I expect it will be fine after another couple of months.
This is a good product but lacks the accuracy. I have measured with my Omron M7 Intelli and the Aktiia gives a consistently higher reading. If the Omron reads 130/76 the Aktiia reads around 150/80. I will recalibrate the Aktiia once more to see if the accuracy increases. After the first recalibration the system remarkably reduce the readings.
Very useful device. I no longer need to think about taking my Blood Pressure. Comfortable to wear and works well, making me more aware of the impact of my lifestyle on my BP.Battery lasts around 5 days and then I take the watch off and let it charge while I'm in the shower. App and reporting clear and easy to use. Only improvement I would like to see is being able to change the target BP, as it is not 135/70 for people with my medical condition.Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, but it seems to take readings pretty sporadically. Some days I only get one or two readings, or none at all - so it isn't quite living up to expectations as I understood it gave more or less continuous readings. My partner has one and finds it really useful, so maybe there's something wrong with mine. Will give it a couple more weeks.
The bracelet is inaccurate. The response from Aktiia is totally inadequate. I have a number of emails with their support team which have failed to address the key issues. 1 the bracelet does not record my BP in a consistently frequent manner (long periods with no measurements) and 2 the measurements are inaccurate being at first consistently below accurate cuff measurements (verified by other devices' readings) and then consistently above cuff measurements (again verified by other device's readings). The replies from their support were initially patronising simply repeating basic instructions, which I had already read and complied with, and then with no logical basis questioning my conclusions which were backed up by the data their bracelet and cuff produced. In fact some of the key chronological information i provided to them was misquoted back to me suggesting that the support team had not extended me the courtesy of reading my mail carefully. My "one star" rating is confirmed but only because there in no "no star" rating.
I compared this to my home BP monitor and it is very accurate and precise. Much easier to wear than a 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitor. Additionally, you can wear this almost on a continual basis and check your response to exercise, dietary changes, and medications.
