Awful customer service . They promised me a discount for my next order as my vacuum went faulty after having it for less than one year. Not only did they sell me a poor quality item but then refuse to put things right. Buyer beware of Hoover and the awful customer service they provide

The 'Hoover' name lost its way some years back. But that's all changed now. Good-quality, high-spec products that deliver excellent performance without paying "Dyson" mega money. I have two Hoover Vacs, one is a mains-powered, the HL4, and I have just purchased the cordless HF4 PLUS. Every 'accessory tool' the average household needs is included as standard! The suction is fully controllable and displayed electronically. The suction level is very powerful indeed at the max setting. Build quality is as good as any Dyson I have looked at, without the high price tag!

We bought an oven and microwave. Looked nice cost wise similar to AEG or Bosch which we should have bought first time.

We started having problems with the Hoover oven after 6 months with the display boards going and lack of parts, by the time we got are second new replacement (3rd oven) we ask if we we could have a different model… this was taken as us refusing the repair, even after sending two engineers for the 3rd repair one of which never came but was still on their log… After that Customer service then kept canceling are request for help saying we had refused.. we have now been with out a working oven since the beginning of December 2025… Now February 7th 2026!! and sadly the touch panel is going on the microwave but as it’s over 12 months old (just December) Hoover will only supply parts and there would be a labour cost.
The Automated phone line is very poor and angry with it before you even get to speak with anyone. When you manage to speak to an advisor some read from a screen and repeated them selves not listening to the difficulties while others will say they will look into and ring you back… and then nothing. Something has been booked as we’re getting bombarded with parts order text message saying shipped and canceled, when you bring this up with customer service they don't know why and it a different department.
We had a Hoover washing machine this now with the scrap man as we had several repairs with D&G due to being over 12 months old and it just got frustrating as it just kept breaking.. once a great brand but sadly no more.

Recently purchased a tumble dryer - disappointing experience

I recently purchased a tumble dryer and I can confidently say it has been the worst experience I've had with any product in my lifetime. Firstly, the build quality is poor; even the packaging of snacks feels sturdier. The water pump ceased functioning after just a couple of uses. When I reached out for help, the customer service representative suggested that I shouldn't buy their product if I encountered any issues. Why wasn't this mentioned before I made my purchase? They even implied that I didn't know how to use the product! Perhaps they should offer an online tutorial to help users understand how to operate it. Additionally, they stated that I would incur an £80 charge, despite having a two-year extended warranty, for not using it correctly! I realize now I should have read all their terms and conditions before buying, as apparently, if the water pump fails within a month, it's the customer's fault.

Disappointing experience with the dryer

Purchased a 10kg condenser dryer, and from the very first cycle, we noticed that the clothes didn't dry completely, even with a half-full drum. When we checked the dryness after a cycle, a pool of water leaked from the machine onto the floor due to condensation, as it collects water against the glass and fails to drain properly through the lint trap. We had to keep a towel nearby because it leaked after nearly every cycle. Additionally, the door collects lint against the glass in spots that are hard to clean, making it look aged after just three uses. The water tank is inconveniently located at the bottom of the machine, making it a hassle to empty. If the tank fills up, it overflows and creates a mess under and around the machine. Despite checking after each cycle, we were caught off guard with heavier loads, resulting in a significant puddle. Overall, this machine was a disappointment; it doesn't dry clothes efficiently, leaks condensation when opened, and can flood the area if the tank overflows. We ultimately returned it and ordered a newer model from a different brand, which has worked perfectly, with a top-mounted tank that's easier to manage and shuts off when full.

Extremely disappointed with my experience.

My experience with this appliance has been utterly disappointing. The machine is just over two years old, but the screen started detaching well before that, indicating a manufacturing flaw. Despite this issue, the company has not offered any assistance or taken responsibility. Since the control screen is inoperable, I am now reliant on the app to operate the machine. Unfortunately, the app is just as unreliable as the appliance itself. I have repeatedly refreshed the app, checked the connection, and ensured everything is correct on my end. The machine appears connected, yet the program fails to load, remaining stuck on 'Loading...' for hours, preventing any wash cycle from starting. This problem occurs frequently, rendering the machine useless. I am left with an expensive device that fails both in functionality and digital operation, along with a company that does not support its products. The combination of poor quality, a malfunctioning app, and a lack of customer service is incredibly frustrating. I would strongly recommend others to steer clear of this brand. I will not be making any future purchases from them.

Purchased a vacuum two months ago, now it's broken. Customer support is absent.

I purchased a vacuum two months ago and it has stopped working. Customer support is nonexistent. They don’t answer phone calls, and when I tried live chat, the adviser was quite rude and overly detailed when I couldn’t identify all the parts (even though my description was clear). I was then instructed to email their support team. I had to go through the same troubleshooting process again, with each response taking 24 hours, which is frustrating. Now, three days later, I’m being transferred to another department that supposedly will reply within two business days! Almost a week since I first reached out, and I’m no closer to a solution! I expected better from what I thought was a reputable brand, but clearly, that’s not the case! The customer service is absolutely terrible.

Problems with warranty registration

I bought a vacuum cleaner and tried to register for the three-year warranty online. After filling out the form, I received no confirmation of my registration. Instead, I was added to their mailing list! I followed up with customer service and sent a screenshot of the blank form I submitted. They claimed the form was blank! Naturally, it was blank because I didn’t keep a record of my submitted form! They later contacted me asking for my address to investigate, even though the original form didn’t require that information. I wish someone would quickly address this seemingly straightforward issue.

Extremely poor service experience

I am deeply dissatisfied with this brand. Our washing machine, not even a year old, has a severe issue where water remains in the drum after every wash. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, yet despite calling multiple times, no technician has been sent. Each time I reach out to customer service, I'm put on hold and receive no solutions. Today, I waited over two hours for a promised callback that never came. The lack of urgency and accountability is appalling. This is not just an inconvenience but a hygiene issue in a home with vulnerable individuals. Their refusal to honor a legitimate warranty is disgraceful. I expected much more from a company of this stature. I strongly recommend others to avoid their appliances, as you will find yourself completely unsupported when problems arise.

Avoid this brand at all costs

Steer clear of this brand. The motors they use are evidently defective. I've had to replace two motors in just two years on a tumble dryer. They hide behind warranty periods, fully aware of the motor issues, yet they still charge £160 to install another faulty motor. I'm now on my third motor, and the repair costs have surpassed the price of the machine within less than two years.
