I went to your Ballito store a week ago and was assisted by a sales lady named Terena.unfortunately, I was not pleased with her assistance as she focused more on her phone. I went in to purchase a washing machine, but walked out without, due to a lack of professionalism
Recently moved house and removed the trays in my Hirsch deep freeze and could not put them back in sequence so visited the Hillcrest store to ask if they could please help and the next day two salesmen showed up at my house to assist and in no time had solved the problem. Thank you to Donavon and Nicholas for taking the time and effort to help me. Great and friendly service!!
I am Thomas Mketelwa. At Hirschs Springfield on 4 October 2025, I was serviced by Phindile. She assisted me with my purchase of multiple kitchen appliances. She was very friendly and gave me a comparison of different products, explaining how they work as well as their guarantee/warranty periods. She advised me that if there be any special she will contact me and informed me of the current specials. Also, she informed me that if there be any special online she can assist with that as well.She was friendly, energetic and knew her work.I am giving her a 4 star rating as everyone has room for improvement in skill and experience.

I went to Hirschs to buy a strong vacuum cleaner. I was sold a cordless one. To me, it didn't matter as long as its strong. I had the appliance for 4 days. when I eventually tried it. The vacuum lasted for 15 minutes at its highest function. It then needs to charged for 4 hours. So one cannot really use this efficiently. I took it back. having had it for 4 days, having used it for 15 minutes. I was told they will be charging me 30 percent handling fee. This was not told to me upfront. they then reduced it to 20 percent as long as I bought another vacuum. This fee seems a bit much and unfair as it is not properly disclosed at time of sale.Doing the actual return was so unpleasant too! I mentioned this to M Hirsch (regarding the handling fee) and she replied promptly, which I found very impressive, but then I never received further feedback.I had to replace my fridge last week - so I went to Tafelberg. I will also be buying a washing machine soon and I will not go back to Hirschs, even though it is the closest to my house and most convenient for me. I will no longer support them.
