Please do not use this company it is a rip off they charged me £90 plus vat and all they did was call a plumber and the minute he arrived he told us that he does not get any of the money we had just paid, they are just taking the money to make a phone call and then you pay the person when he or she arrives. The plumber told me it happens every time he does a job for them they do not explain to anyone, they are just a go between and when you call them back they are very abusive and you cannot get a refund. The plumber told us a story that he had recently gone to a job for an 86year old woman and when he had done the job he asked her for payment but she had no money she thought she had already paid.
Well, I have just fallen for the first time ever with a potential fraud. Paid £102 incl vat to be told a roofer will attend a job. No call out and the contact has ignored all calls. Now contacted my bank to retrieve my money and reported them for potential misrepresentation. However, I have check with the Gov at Companies house and they are registered as active and do have company accounts. What I didn't do is read the reviews. Lesson learned. DO NOT USE THE THIS COMPANY
Called them to carry out some work on our property, owing to it not being local to us. The woman was rude and put the phone down.... Call themselves a home service repair Company.... definitely won't be using these, seems the other reviews are correct!!
DO NOT USE. This is a totally fraudulent company- They charge you £120 booking fee- and then you have to pay the tradesperson on top. They sent me a foreign suppoed plumber who was not a certified or qualified ! He then charged me £100 for turning a valve. Upon calling the company back i was infomred the fee was non refundable and was the fee for boking the plumber? I'm disgusted with how this firm are allowed to trade. i have been totally misled. They are totally unscrupulous.-
DO NOT USE. I wish I read these reviews before hand. Had to pay £103 just for them to call someone to come over, could have done that in 5 minutes with a simple Google search. Now I have to pay the guy coming £85 for 30 minutes of work, another £85 if he stays longer. Company would not refund me even though they said they would if the handyman has not been to my apartment which he did not, but still no way to cancel or refund. First handyman to call me did not even have a ladder or have access to a ladder. There is a reason that you cannot leave reviews on their website.Edit: I spoke to two handymen that were called out for my job and both said there was something off about the company and did not like dealing with them, one out right said this would be his last job after I showed him all these reviews.
I would have given this company 0 they lie about the service they offered I was told it was £118 for a washing machine repair plus the parts. The money paid by card before engineer visited. As soon as I hung up I got 3 text messages saying not to contact them they were a call centre and to pay the engineer when he arrived I rang back to say I understood that I had already paid for the engineer and only had to pay for parts. No they say. I say can I cancel and have a refund. No they said engineer is booked. I tried to ring back but they just kept cutting me off. Eventually through my persistence they said customer service would ring me. I’m still waiting for that call and for the engineer. It’s a scam. Don’t use them DONOT pay them any money.
Booked to have a chimney sweep, was told someone will be with us the same day before 5, got a call to advise that no one will be coming out and to sort the refund in the week when the ‘customer service’ person is back. Called first thing to be told he was out of the office and give it 10 minutes, then got told ‘they’ are in a meeting give it half an hour, then called back to be told they do not deal with refunds and to contact my bank. I wouldn’t trust this company as far as I could throw them. Stay well away
After paying initial fee plumber came and certified boiler unsafe ,carbon monoxide. Charged nearly £400.for app 1hour.work.gave us no indication of how much work would cost when he was here. Got boiler checked today by local plumber. Boiler working ok,no gas leak,very efficient and honest service, cost £78. I feel very sad that some people can do this to vulnerable people and are able to get away with it.surely call centre had some way of vetting these people. A complete con
